Playing osu! with a controller

So, earlier today I configurated my Xbox-controller to a game, and I thought... I wonder if you can play osu! with a controller? Turns out, you can, but it's super hard. I used the joystick as my mouse, RT as right click.

Now I wonder, if any of you have experience with it? It was actually quite fun to try, made me giggle. If yes, what was your best score?

You know thumbs are definitely for noobs, I always put my thumbs under the controller and used my index and middle to do stuff better and sometimes even stream two keys. And that was way before I started playing osu, why does everyone click with thumbs? that's for dumbs.

Reminds me of that guy who used a gamepad to remotecontrol a robot that was holding onto a mouse.
His performance looked very poor though and it was pretty much just for fun.

I apologize if this forum/thread is too old, but my controller isn't able to play the game, still, it does change between the menu options. I need a little help

You need to download a piece of software that will emulate the mouse movement with the joys

You can connect a PS4 controller to your pc, then download DS4Windows (http://ds4windows.com/) use the trackpad on your controller like a real trackpad.

how can u do that ? i mean how did u manage to play with a controller , i want to try it too

You'll need a software to use your controller, look at the other messages in this topic,

If you add osu to steam, you can set up mouse emulation pretty easy, that's what I've been using. If you have a controller that supports it, gyro actually works very well too.
