Chances are many players can't afford an expensive gaming keyboard, I fall into that category.
The main thing besides the different switch type is the USB polling rate, by default in Windows this is set to 125Hz, Razer keyboards and similar USB devices override this setting to get the maximum input rate possible.
Recently, I found this useful little app "UsbRate.exe", what it does is lets you change the global USB device polling rate, it is designed for smoother mouse movement but also affects keyboard input greatly.
Be warned though, setting to 500Hz is probably safest, 1000Hz has massive impact on system performance and hardware functioning.

I use 500Hz now and can stream much smoother than before (and a little higher BPM :3)
