Kinda off topic, but.... does OpenGL go with Linux OSs?
posted
Yes - osu! will likely be playable via WiNE with the next public, and in the forseeable future natively via Mono.net.

YAY GL WORKS!! (kinda)

Still no luck with wine yet... :(

This is the closest topic I can find to what I wanted to ask;

Is there a way to play this on a Mac OS 10.5.5 without VMWare Fusion? I want to play this, but don't have VMWare fusion nor any PC mimicking tools.

Thanks

Boot Camp (installing windows on a mac) is probably your best option, since VMware lags too much to play, WINE doesnt load GL properly, and mono.net doesnt load osu at all...

In time, grasshopper. I have a lot of things to attend to at the moment. OpenGl is in, and that is over halfway to getting it running native via mono.

Virtualbox work for play in osu , i have a netbook with Mac OS X (Samsung NC10,GMA945,Atom 1,5Ghz) , and osu is playable (opengl)

Little lag, but playable , i think with a real mac or a best config, this turn fine :)

I run the game on a bootcamp partition on mac, but I'd love to be able to run it on my mac side.

I'll just hold out for a OS X release :( if such a release ever happens.

Well, I still have bootcamp, so I can't complain too much.

Awesome! :) Maybe now I can get a couple of friends with Macs to play :D

They still need some version of Windows (XP preferrably)...

I'll post a tutorial on how to set this all up if you need one.

Yeah, that's one downside :(

That would be helpful, I was having a bit of trouble with VirtualBox (I stuck in my CD, set it to mount the CD drive but it kept bringing up the error "Cannot boot from Drive" or something like that)
Are you sure the CD is mounted? Try going into the boot menu and selecting the CD as top priority. It seems like VirtualBox is trying to boot from the virtual harddrive.

I haven't actually tested this out with a physical CD yet, I've always used iso's...

Couldn't you create an ISO from the disc and go that way, too?

Of course

Got it work with Crossover!

The Font is crappy, yeah. But it works without laggs.
The only Problems are starting the Game. Sometimes it starts, sometimes not.
Maybe i can upload my bottle.

Oh, nice work! Do you get an error when it fails to start?

Looks like the GDI support is pretty primitive in crossover, which makes unfortunate results with text rendering.
