What are the worst ranked maps you've played?

There's a lot of maps out there that have been ranked despite being god awful to play.

Here are three of my least favorite:

https://osu.ppy.sh/b/35188 - Most of the Mindless Self Indulgence maps are pretty low quality (which bums me out because I'm a fan and I've even seen them live), but this one takes the cake. Can you say "mistimed"?

I've been playing some old maps here and there and I've found some ridicilous stuff.
I wanted to link a map but I can't find it, it was so bad i probably got rid of it, which i never do otherwise.

this one might be alright i don't remember but i didn't like playing it at all.

Compared to these the ones you linked are pretty good tbh. The first one is kinda hard to read sure,but managable, banya winter only has 1 fucked up little pattern.
That mindless self map seems perfectly timed to me? I didn't find anything while playing, but i didn't check the timing panel either.

While we're at topic i gotta say that there are some hidden gems for sure . The now popular cross time is pretty good, and there are more from before the dj pop era, which is like rooftop quality in comparison.

This one for example i really like, especially the hard diff, but i guess it's not really fair since it's quite a new one, but the song is amazing you can give it try.

You might disagree with what they stand for, but those are all well made maps, especially for their intent. You can't possibly tell me any of these are on the level of Pictochat Bonus Diff.

Exactly 0 people have SS on that map, which should tell you something. The map barely fits the song.

to be fair beyond a certain point old maps are complete garbage that aren't related to the song at all =P

Well yeah, but as far as timing poinst are concerned i think its fine, at least that's timing for me.
rhythm choice is questionable for sure.

Then I don't see the reason why you are butthurt. Apart from the extra note on Banya - Winter the others are perfectly playable. Quality is on par with the maps ranked in that time period.

I'm not angry lol, bad maps are interesting in their own way. As you can see I still like all my selections enough to full combo.

I also don't think all old maps are bad. Even the very first maps had really good stuff.

Because I want to see and play some weird stuff, because it's fun. Bad maps are fun to complain about, but that doesn't mean I actually hate them. I want to be able to play anything, and they really push your reading ability

Standard: Anything made past 2015 and anything made before 2010.
Else: Converts - I feel like there should be a "verified convert" thing before a map gets ranked to determine whether or not the convert is fit to be ranked.

1. Disliking a map doesn't make it bad
2. In order to say that a map is objectively bad you have to compare it with maps of a similar style. Statements such as "god awful to play" and "unreadable" are subjective and that's why my first post was judgemental.

Map being good or bad is extremely subjective until its overall user rating is... considering amount of people who actually rate maps, lets say 70% and lower.
This subjective opinion also have value based on player overall skill which means - 2-3 digit high ranked player who spent more time playing this game, know more patterns, know more about dealing with difficulty spikes can judge map better than 4-5 digit one.

This topic is pointless. Judging maps from the past where mapping was slowly developing, hindered by limited editor options is just stupid as fuck. Still a lot of old maps are perfectly playable and can keep up with current ranking criteria. Nothing much to say.

Thread concept might be interesting but was pulled poorly. That is why it is pointless right now.

Also - mappers with some experience (proved by amount of finished graveyarded maps, amount of ranked maps, amount of loved maps with exception to self-boosted once) have waaaaaaaay more to tell than random player.
