So I play a ton of mania, and i found the taikomania skin, and i started using it and really enjoy taiko, however it seems to be a little unfair due to how it works, I was wondering if its frowned upon in the taiko community, im mainly just using it for fun, and im not playing taiko in a serious setting, but i cant help but wonder if its considered cheating within the taiko community or the osu community as a whole.

Is it frowned upon, depends on who you ask. Many do not care while others view it as "breaking the spirit of the game"
As far as the question of "is it cheating?" No it is not cheating as everything within the skin falls under being acceptable by Osu rules as you are allowed to modify your skin to make the game look how you want.
