Injuries.

What are yours?

I fell off my bike in a race today and and slid across the rough concrete floor and I got a very big scratch on my arm and a big bruise covering the left side of my body. I got dizzy. I got this long stretchy band-aid that you can wrap around your whole arm. What sucks is that there wasn't any alcohol or band-aids when I had to clean it and nobody was home so I had to go to the store with this scratch. I had to play tennis with this cut on my hand. >8C My parent put some sort of medicine on my scratch. It tickled and hurt at the same time when they put it and then I got confused. T~T

In my bed, really hurt and shaking.

So how did you get hurt?

Jungle gym, didn't know how to get down, attempted to fall down through one of the holes, direct impact to chin

Stacked my bike quite a bit in high school.

And the only ones that were really my fault were the ones i was the only participant in.

I hyperextended my right elbow and ankle some time ago.
The joints keep locking up occasionally and I've got limited range of motion.
Pretty fun.

Elbow and knee gashes from getting flung from my motorcycle a few times, that's about it.

injury in knees is never fun having a hard time to move my legs ;_;

I wrecked my motorcycle couple months ago broke an ankle and had to get 23 stiches. Talk about road rash.

That's darn right ridiculous! I'll have you know stubbed my toe last week, while watering my spice garden, and I only cried for 20 minutes!

Only memorable injury for me was when I was younger (about 12 or 13) and loose, flying cricket bat to the throat which put me in hospital for a month with a slim chance of survival, lol.

Besides that I've lived a fairly average bruise, scrape and cut kind of life.

When I was in grade school, a theatre troupe hosted a play. At the end, due to the jostling we kids made while exiting the hall, a pole-mounted stage light went off balance and the top part, the one with the actual light, hit me square on the head. Had to get some stitches.

my only memorable injury was around 12 years ago where 2 of my toenails were torn off in a bicycle "crash"

Dislocated elbow.
Crashed a bike and broke off a fingernail.
Fell off a bike and landed my face in gravel/pavement/rocky surface. (Minor scratches but my face looked terrible for a month or two.)

That was all years and years ago.

- Point blank hit by a cricket bat to the eyebrow when I was 8, literally 1 cm off blinding me permanently. 10 stitches I think and a scar to remind me of that day forever. The good thing was my math ability skyrocketed after that.

- When I was 9 I backed up into a stray nail on a pole in a park. That one went straight into my head, required a bit of minor surgery.

Never had any accidents with knees or arms though, guess I decided I didn't need my head back then.

I've had countless fractures but I've never broken anything.
I guess that I am lucky or something. Also, never required stitches.
Once I ripped open my elbow with something and went to the hospital.
They cleaned it out and I taped it shut. Doctor recommended stitches.

hmm, No broken bones, a few cuts and scrapes here and there.

I was bitten by a Tiger Snake when I was one and a half, does that count?

Broke both bones in my right leg about four or five years ago. Best part was that I got to lie around doing nothing all day~

Other than that, not much~

I think I recall falling from my bike into the street and hitting my groin area with the handlebars.

Yesterday I fell down the stairs, nothing much happened though, except my hand was literally blue for some time and my right foot still hurts as fuck.

I've had a lot of injuries but the most horrible ones i've had are these:
At the age of 7-8 when i was doing exercises and when i was running around i tripped on a rocky ground (there were a lot of tiny rocks) and as i fell with my right knee a small rock went in my knee..god that was painful

At the age of 11 i went through a glass door in a rush when i was fooling around at home with a friend thought i could run and then open the door at the same time, didn't work as planned i went through the glass..the area where doctors usually take blood from your veins, can't remember the word for it..a glass piece cut that area and i literally was able to see my own veins..was quite disgusting and there were other several places where the glass cut me, one of the pieces got stuck in my head..thanks to the adrenaline that rushed in my body i didn't feel any pain but as i took off the glass pieces from my head blood started flowing (was a bad idea i know, but in those kinds of moments you don't really think properly) luckily i managed to call the ambulance and as the doctor saw my injuries especially the area where the veins were shown the doctor made a wtf.jpeg face and said later on that i was super lucky that it didn't cut an extra millimeter otherwise i would've sprayed an entire room full of blood. I have a massive scar from that still and it won't ever go away unfortunately :(

This thread hurts my feelings ;__;

The last injury I got was from a door... it scraped my knuckles. I was carrying a box and tried to keep the door open.

Worst I've had is a bike crank cut a 2" deep, 2" long gash in my leg a few years ago. /shelteredlife

Also had fun flying over the handlebars on a bike, but it wasn't that bad

a senior of mine land a clean kick to my face and almost broke my nose. Thankfully it's not, just some major nose blood and a bruise on my nose

I've never broken a bone, but when I was like 8 I was almost decapitated trying to climb down from a rather dangerous treefort

in grade school I got into a skiing accident. A faceplant, and a stray ski struck the back of my head and split it open

in highschool I was stabbed with a hunting knife

in highschool I fell onto a sawblade

in highschool my friend and I used to swordfight with letter openers and my hand got cut up a lot since I often used a screwdriver instead

in highschool I had a handful of skateboard-related injuries that involved concrete, gravity, and velocity

in highschool I did a frontflip over my bike down a tall hill just outside the McDonalds in my hometown

in highschool I broke a knuckle open or something when I punched a locker

in University I got in a fairly nasty bike accident the day I bought Mario Kart Wii. I got lectured by an old lady whose husband died in a bike accident, but she helped me untangle my legs from my bike frame so it wasn't all bad

April 2010 I got hit by a car and bruised a few things, mostly wrists. I picked myself up after the accident and kept going though because whatever nothing broke

I've also been very close to being hit by a car several other times since motorists in this town don't give a fuck about cyclists. They're also just pretty bad drivers, most of 'em.

oh and I electrocuted myself one time. Does that count for anything?

I was like 10 years old when I was jumping and I sprained my ankle as I landed. I could hear my bones crack. (Or at least I think I did)

When I was 8, I fell down the 3 meters high slope and landed on my right arm, breaking it. I was crying all the way back home and to the hospital.

When I was 10, I rode my bicycle at full speed into the backwheel of other bicycle who stood a few meters away after 90° turn. I didn't have time to hit the brakes, so after direct hit I was thrown in mid-air doing magnificent frontflip, landing on my knees and eventually getting rid some skin off of them. Surprisingly it didn't hurt so much, but those wounds looked pretty nasty.

A long time ago I tripped when I was running, was going at a really high speed so I ended up tripping a meter forward and grinding my face against the floor.

Thankfully, it was the school hall flooring which was made of laminated wood.

But, I dragged a long enough distance to have a portion of my lower lip ripped off. Other injuries include peeled skin on my knees and elbows.

never broke anything.

got my ankle twisted complete 90 degs to the opposite side but it didn't break lol.

several injuries involving skate boarding
- falling bouncing off rail
- twisted wrists, ankles, major/deep scratches
stuff like that.

i opened my head about 3 times hitting corners of metallic walls, one was about an inch away the sien.

falls from bike at really high speed hitting directly my chin (i swear it felt like i broke my jaw, i couldn't talk for a while lol), and injuries like the state ones.

oh yeah and once i smashed the top of my finger with a metallic chair breaking my fingernail at half.

So my friends played frisbee with a steel pot cover, and I was thinking "I'm pretty sure this is not going to end w-"
Right smack at my face. Nose, to be exact.

No blood though, I never seem to bleed from anything.
