Has anyone else played Castle Crashers on XBLA? It's by Tom Fulp and Dan Paladin(Alien Homonid, Dad & Me, Newgrounds) so I thought I might as well pick it up(aka download). I've been addicted to it since it came out. The game is a sidescroller beat em' up (think the Simpsons arcade game or the old TMNT games) with an off the wall sense of humor and has a hint of RPG elements(leveling +stat distribution). The game has around 20 unlockable characters(each using a different style of magic) and a ton of weapons (Chicken, Lobster, leaf, GIGANTIC HAMMER), plus there are things called animal orbs which are tiny animals that follow you around giving you different bonuses and abilities(Bi-Polar bear will attack any enemy near death... or any ally, including yourself)
Although there are combos you end up spamming X+Y over and over again in hopes of beating your enemies to death. 4 player co-op where you can have 2 guys on 1 xbox and the other 2 over live(or any other combo you can think of) which makes things pretty hectic. The game only takes 4 hours to complete(well, with 3 people) but everyone of the basic characters you start with unlocks another character who ends up unlocking yet ANOTHER character. Very replayable, I've played through it around 9 times now, 7 of them being with different characters.
So I think that covers it... give the demo a try, see if you like it. I recommend it(although I don't think that even means anything ) and all my friends do too. I srsly have like 6 40+ characters.
