I get the things like timing and rhythm. But all my maps seem to still be a train wreck.
I need someone to give me some pointers and offer lessons / advice; I've seen all of pishifat's videos and my maps still come out like trash

I'm not the best at mapping myself, however I figured no one else is gonna respond in this thread so why not :P

from my experience, learning how to map comes from playing ranked maps, making your own map, and then comparing it to the ranked maps you play. you shouldn't worry too much about aesthetics at the first time. thinking about how the movements would be is more important

Listen to A instrument that you want to follow or 2 instrument but dont all, that will make the map's consistancy become worse
