osu! now is more better

SPOILERI'm having the same issue. When osu! opens, it says in the middle that it's currently updating and that I need to update my engine because it's outdated. However, osu! closes itself immediately after showing the connection error.
I found out that it's the osume.exe file that is shutting down immediately and giving me the (0xc000007b) error code.
I reinstalled it, didn't work.
I opened the osume.exe file as administrator, didn't work.
Before this updated, everything worked fine.
My OS is Windows 7 home premium (64-bit), Intel Core i5 and enough RAM for this game.
Help anyone?
A restart fixed it. Now I feel pretty derp ._.peppy wrote:
That sounds bad. Restart or google it.
Try turning off DEP function for osu!, it should help.-Lucy- wrote:
I can't update osu D: When I run osu!.exe it wants to update, then I receive error "Updater has stopped working"... Please help! I have Windows 7 x64 I tried cleaning the registry, uninstalled osu! about 6 times, downloaded again 3 times, deleting all files associated with osu... Nothing happens...
When I'm encountering the "program stopped working" problem, DEP works for me in 99% (it didn't help only once so far).peppy wrote:
I don't think DEP is the problem here. There have been a few other mentions of this issue, but I am not too sure why it is happening.

Your DNS might be stuck pointing at the old server. Can you try pinging cho.ppy.sh?

Okay, and what version does your osu! display (top-right corner of the options screen)?
I deleted the osu!.cfg but then, when I run osume it says that there is an error occured:peppy wrote:
This should be 1815. Please try deleting osu!.cfg (the one *without* your username) and then running osume
