Hello, and welcome to the first edition of OT News!

Today is the 11th Tuesday of April of 2017. Today’s forecast is mild with 4.27% chance of locks and the rest week looks great with little chance of anything being sent to the wasteland. OT has been busy doing its thing this past week, and there is a lot of shit to cover, so let’s get straight to the news.



On the first day of April, one of the sacred posts of OT was sacrificed for the joyous holiday also known as the April fool’s. Horror swept across OT as the public awoke to their worst nightmare: ITT2: We post shit that is neither funny nor interesting had taken the cold iron of the lock hammer overnight. Lord Lockthread Stefan took advantage of this infamous holiday to impose his power and bring upon the end to the legendary thread which withstood the test of time for nearly four years. As the thread is something dear to the citizens of OT, riots ensued.

Hika, one of who suffered the greatest trauma, spoke out by begging on her hands and knees. This caused the leaders of the opposition to take notice and come with their own solutions. Shitposting General Blitzfrog and an OT commoner by the name of Yuudachi-kun took upon themselves to create the next ITTX threads, ITT3: We only post trash and ITT4: The rise of B1rd respectively to show that the spirit of ITTX will never die.

ITT2 was not the only thread to suffer this tragic event, however. abraker’s Bingo thread faced the same dreaded lock hammer alongside ITT2, halting updates to the scoreboard. Due to this, abraker resorted to extreme action and posted the updates to the scoreboard in random threads.



2017-04-02: As the dust settled and April Fools’ came to an end, the legendary ITT2 thread was unlocked. While the people of OT were celebrating the resurgence of ITT2, the Bingo thread still remained in the hands of Lord Lockthread Stefan. It was not until half a day later that the Bingo thread was released from its agony, but in a grave exchange of the locking of abraker’s soul by Lord Lockthread Stefan and his firstborn being sold off to an unnamed party.



2017-04-02: Flannel’s and CBullet’s thread, If you open your mind, was ambushed by Blitzfrog and johnmedina999. Originally intended to chain the lyrics of Drake Bell’s "I Found A Way", the thread derailed into a back-and-forth circlejerk between Meah and Blitzfrog. Shortly after, as levesterz joined the derail, this deviated into the topic of cannibalism and eventually transitioned into absolute disgrace with other OTers joining to autistically spew out random song lyrics.

But Meah proved not guilty due to being an angel!

2017-04-02: DJ Enetro, who has recently been spotted throughout FG and OT, invited Shitposting General Blitzfrog to a rap battle on the Introduction thread, which was originally written by Blitzfrog himself to prevail his powers to the newcomers of OT. The fierce battle began with an intimidating rap from DJ Enetro, who posted in an attempt to taunt Blitzfrog. Blitzfrog followed with a vigorous comeback, ready to show superiority of his shitposting power.

The war went on for quite some time, with their rap firing words at each other into a bloodbath. Suddenly johnmedina999 abruptly derailed the thread right before they sent rapping nukes towards one another, claiming the victory of the rap battle johnmedina999, casually accepting his victory, wrote down a victory rap and has asked for others to “contribute to finding PLANET//SHAPER samples in my sig”.

2017-04-03: A wild avatar-stealing fever recently emerged, originating from this thread. Fizzn indirectly kicked this off by posting a screenshot of a new, to-be-used avatar he had finished on photoshop. He promptly asked kai99 not to steal it in the title of the thread. Little did Fizzn know that kai99 was not aware of the situation and the citizens of OT had their own ideas. Tae proceeded to snatch the image, and then Aomi, followed by Fourth, and johnmedina999.

When kai99 saw the madness, she decided to make another avatar dedicated to the remaining citizens who did not partake in the stealing. With the creation of avatars for Blitzfrog and levesterz by kai99, half of OT began to launch a forum-wide collaboration profile picture, with the other half objecting such an idea. Sadly, the collab died off in less than 24 hours.

2017-04-05: A war sparked between the citizens of OT (Meah, Tae, johnmedina999, [Lunatic Elf], kai99, wwwww_ and Fourth) and the moderators (Pawsu, Gabe, Shurelia, Repflez, and Spkz) in the thread Users vs Mods (& Admin). In an attempt to break the previous seemingly impossible record of 528, the citizens of OT stumbled upon each other like newborn baby turtles on a sandy beach. With a lot of effort and an extreme amount of ninjas, the OT team managed to get to 104 before Gabe stopped the post streak.

What ensued was a bloody war between the mods and OT. Gabe and Spkz began the onslaught, which the other mods soon joined to wreak havok. For a few hours, almost no chain was able to get past 10. It was only until OT gave up that the mods ended their barrage.

In other news, Users vs Mods v2 was locked temporarily when the mods reached -100, but has been reopened since then.

2017-04-06: Expanding on the effort of the previous day, the citizens of OT decided to continue the counting battle. The plan was to ensure all mods were offline, then to reach 529, a new record, as fast as possible. With a slightly modified roster of trashposters (list included below), the citizens of OT were able to surpass the past record and set a new high of 602 through 41 pages of consecutive number hurling. Shurelia, noticing this trend, cut the thread off and left a brief remark about the record: “Almost”, followed with Gabe’s comment: “y'all got us when we were sleeping, eh”.

The main post of the thread was soon modified to reflect the new highscore of 602.

2017-04-06: The Lord Lockthread Stefan posted a 2nd thread hinting that he might leave soon. In this thread he confesses that he has mixed feelings about continuing his role of global moderator. After 76 months (six years and four months) of being a moderator, he wishes to be able to take a “healthier distance” from the game. Despite him being known as the destroyer of all “fun” things, this thread was taken with tears and sorrow from various OT citizens mourning of their loss.

Whatever decision he may make, please support our man and pay respects for the dedication he has made over the years.

2017-04-07: After a long month, OT Bingo has finally come to an end. It began on 4 March, with a battle between Meah, Coldtooth, levesterz, Railey2, Aomi, Tae, and Allmynamestaken. The battle tilted in Coldtooth’s favor as the player accumulated over 15 points in a relatively short time span. However, on 15 March, things took a critical turn: levesterz and Allmynamestaken were disqualified for posting quote towers while Coldtooth became less active.

With the game proceeding at a slow pace, positions opened up and so joined Endaris, kai99, Blitzfrog, and Fourth. Blitzfrog, well known for his shitposting nature, was expected to win, however to everyone’s surprise, he was followed very closely by kai99. It wasn’t long before they both overtook Coldtooth with no sign of stopping. On 15 March, Blitzfrog was to be named the Bingo winner - however, just a mere three hours before his to-be-victory, he was fatally shot for attempting to go beyond the established norms of OT. With his disqualification, kai99 took the spotlight of the to-be-winner.

kai99 quickly took advantage of this incident and remained rampant, accumulating over 21 points - more than a third of all tiles. As the game went on, many of the easier tiles were obtained by most, and obtaining other tiles started to become a challenge. Although every now and then there would be a tile unlocked by luck, the game’s progress declined as time went by. The game was opened up one last time allowing FrozenMilkshake, Raging Bull, and johnmedina999 to join around 21st of March. From then, the Bingo game gradually progressed until 7 April, where Meah posted after B1rd, claiming victory and the title of “OT Bingo Champion”.

Some strategies by the biggest shitposters

Among the leading players, Blitzfrog did all in his power to secure as many points as possible. This involved some clever tricks to gain the upper hand, and since there were no tips on how to approach this, like all players, he had to figure it out for himself. It is a no brainer that you needed to keep an eye on which threads might have correlated with the increase in points. Blitzfrog ensured to look over all threads and jump on the slightest intuition that something might give a point. In addition to that, while going through each thread he would post right after some of the OTers who come on more rarely to block any chance of anyone else getting them.

Kai’s strategy involved a more, direct and head-on approach. Just post anywhere and everywhere. Kai, too, caught onto the “post after” tiles and started to block anyone else from getting them. Sadly, kai decided to look over relevant threads for hint of points by the end of the game.

The winner, however, had a very carefully developed strategy.
One that beat everyone else’s and took the first place of OT Bingo.

The strategy was: No strategy.
Can you believe it? The first place winner of OT bingo had no strategy and still won. What a show!



Meah declassifying top secret info

As of the time this article is written, the winner is yet to be officially declared as Meah still has a potential to lose. A mere seven days from 8 April are given to correct any mistakes that OT Bingo’s mastermind, abraker, may have made. Within these seven days, it may be discovered that a player achieved a Bingo earlier due to missed tiles. Will Meah hold ground or fall? We will see.



2017-04-09: On this historic and eventful day, OT was blasted with a surprise nobody expected. The Great Lord Lockthread Stefan has posted a thread containing an audio clip of his glorious singing as he poured his heart out to OT, saying that “this is it”.

This creation of artwork has made many worry as it has several implications on the future and stability of OT. With this being the third post showing that he is not being himself, one thing is for sure; Lord Lockthread Stefan is starting to show his age and might even have gone mental from the cancer found on OT. Some even speculate eating abraker’s soul might have accelerated his condition.

2017-04-03: Railey2 created an AMA thread, continuing the AMA trend that started in 2017-02-27.

2017-04-04: On this day, a new event occurred with the creation of the kai99’s korean thread, a simple request thread to translate anything into Korean. This was followed by johnmedina999, who started the spanish thread as bait for Serraionga. Unbeknownst to him, this sparked a trend with the russian thread emerging, which was followed quickly by the pinoy and serbian/croatian/montenegrin/bosnian threads. OT’s shitposting nature prevailed upon the creation of the Ghetto and English threads which attempted to translate the language into itself, resulting in the creation of an unsightly horror. This was not the end as roshan117 continued the hideous trend with the highly autistic weebanese thread, succeeded by Serraionga who attempted to continue this cancer by posting catalan in a futile attempt to crack a joke.

2017-04-05: kai’s AMA reached a whopping 43 pages, overtaking the Bingo Thread’s count by a huge margin and becoming the most posted thread in OT in a long while.

2017-04-09: Blitzfrog has created a fanclub thread for kai99, dragging on this wretched trend that has been unwelcomed by many. This resurrected trend was picked up by the creation of Meah and Tae's fanclubs.

2017-04-03: After the havoc of April Fools’, a new OT citizen was brought in by Eldergleam. The child has been named Surono and has spoken for the first time through this thread.

2017-04-05: Welcome back! Allmynamestaken has returned after a one week MIA status, during which he had been deemed as “jailed” for “reasons he doesn’t want to describe”.
