Celektus' Free Hitsounding Queue
Status: ClosedRules
- Standard and Catch the Beat only
- Any amount of Objects. The fewer Objects in the set the higher are the chances that your request will be taken
- Any music Genre. I don't have any preferences really.
- Unrankable sets are accepted too. As long as there is minimal to no Overmapping aka your Objects should be on sounds. Like 3000 BPM note spam will pretty much instantly be denied.
- English or German requests
- No Keysounding
- Custom Hitsounds need to be added in a Link. You can add multiple choices but keep the number of choices limited to max 5 per sound.
- Credit me in the Maps Description and put my name in the tags. For example like this... this is a Link *click*
- If you get a Mod pointing out an issue with the Hitsounding feel free to either pm me or fix the suggestion yourself
How do I Hitsound?
I usually HS stuff in a separate diff with notes arranged in a grid so changes are very easy to make or copy paste while working on it etc.
here's a guide on which parts of the grid have certain sounds usually: https://puu.sh/ABsL4.png
when Hitsounding I don't usually have Gameplay in mind first, but rather try to represent the sounds of the song correctly.
In case you prefer to have a artificial Beat not necessarily representing,
but making it easier to play the song please explain how you'd like me to approach your map.
hitnormal: often Snare or Kick Drum
Drum-hitnormal: Kick Drums, Vocals or more intense not as sparse Vocal elements (leads and stuff)
Soft-hitnormal: soft sounding stuff, silence or filler sections where the addition is supposed to overshadow the other Samplesets
Soft-hitwhistle: stronger sounds in a less intense section like sparce lead elements
Normal-hitwhitsle: very loud or annoying sounds (people usually hate this one so you can ask me to remove them xd)
Drum-hitwhistle: off beat very prominent Hats like open Hi Hats and also sometimes just very metallic sounding stuff
Normal-hitfinish: Cymbals like Crashes or Chinas
Soft-hitfinish: also Cymbals. I mix both Normal-/Soft-hitfinish up sometimes
Drum-hitfinish: Big Toms
Drum-hitclap: small toms I only use them if there is a pattern in the tom fill
Normal-hitclap: I ... just never really use them except for actual clap sounds
Soft-hitclap: Snares sometimes
In the end I check if HScopier works correctly and if I need to make diff specific changes and lastly post the code as a .osu to you per site pm with some info on what to do with it.
I also might mod the map in case it conflicts with my Hitsounding or if I'm feeling like it... please do not post your maps here in the hope to get mods
How to request?
Post a reply in this format:
Necessary information
Map: A link to your map listing or other page where I can download it in case you want to save slots
Song: Give a quick Description of your song like a genre or a meme description like: "a dumb song about Ducks with crippling Depression ;_;"
Amount of objects in the set: Look at this number on every diff on your map and put the highest number here
rankability: Put here if your map is going for rank. This will not affect if your request will be taken, but What I will focus on when Hitsounding
Additional information
Custom Hitsounds: add a link to custom Hitsounds I should use and preferably how. If you want to suggest multiple choices put them all in a zip. file, give them the correct names with a number.
Thoughts on how the map should be Hitsounded: If you like you can explain how you would prefer me to approach My Hitsounding in a few words or as much detail as you want... If you want to meme kept it small and make it obvious
