Question about my bamboo touch

So I got a bamboo touch for osu mainly but I like pen control. I used to be real pro on my mouse at jumps but not so good at streams. The bamboo touch corrected the problem I had with streams but I still lack speed with my fingers but I lost the ability to do well in jumpy maps. I fail maps I used to be able to almost S months ago. I have not seen enough improvement to want to continue using the tablet anymore.

Before I head back to using the mouse, is there anyway to use my finger instead of the pen (it is a pen and touch bamboo by the way) but for it to react as if my finger is a pen? Sorry if that is hard to understand. I'm not sure how to make it clearer.

I doubt you can do that, as far as I know the Bamboo's touch part is just as a normal touchpad.

But, did you honestly expect to just pick up the pen and instantly be as good at osu! as you are/were with a mouse ?

How long have you been using your tablet? If you've just gotten it, I'd recommend using it atleast a couple weeks to get used to it. Also, make sure you're using it in Pen tracking mode, not mouse tracking mode. Give yourself time to adjust, you'll be making nice jumps in no time with ease once you get used to it.

Trust me, I was a huge mouse user as I'm first and foremost a FPS gamer but eventually invested in a tablet just for Osu. It took me about a week to adjust to the pen and about another month to get used to it and now about 2-3 months later, there's a huge difference in my cursor accuracy in jumps, streams and all around performance. So personally, I say stick with it :)

Yeah, it does take a while to get accustomed to. And yes, it's not a 'use to get instant skills' card; it's just another way of playing the game that some people find easier.

I wouldn't say it's easier (at first), I'd say it's more natural for people and has its obvious advantages.

I mean easier in a more long-term time frame; as in, someone might use the mouse for a month, then the tablet for a month, and find it easier.

Alright I will stick with it. Maybe drawing with the thing will help lol :)

Just need to find the pen. Lost it again rofl.

Drawing with the tablet does help your hand learn where on the tablet corresponds to where on the monitor. Any practice will help, really.

:( Don't lose your pen. Those things are quite expensive. Haha I know the pens for my tablet are like $80 to replace.

Have you tried hitting it with a hammer?

Took me 3 days before I was able to net my first S on an insane song.

But back to the post. Lol unless you stick the tip of the pen in your fingertip, it won't work like that. Some things take time. Perhaps you're not uesd to the kb?

I agree. Tablet truly does making movements alot easier. Also, don't have to worry about your wrist getting twisted around and wait for a break to readjust your hand (argh! hated that! lol)

I dunno about that last part, when I used a mouse I hated waiting for breaks to end about as much as I do now that I use a tablet.
Though I did use a very high sensitivity, so I guess I just didn't have to move my hand enough to have to readjust it back then.
