Why so Christmassy? And why the contrast? I was just happily playing through some nice light-hearted jolly christmas-themed beatmaps and suddenly, as if out of nowhere, 'Have you heard the news that you're dead'. I was like "Yeah, ruin my funspree, why don't you. >=O"
But anyways it's been fun so far.. i'm not really used to 3 snap maps for some reason, so it's been a new experience for my fingers. ATM i'm quadrupling everyone else's play count though, and i'm only 3rd, which i plan to lose in the next few minutes... -.-

There are lots of Christmas maps because Christmas is jolly, and what better way to convey jolliness in a song than with sexy 1/3.

Anyways yeah, possibly going to make more 3 Snap charts, so don't worry about maps not being included for now.

Cuz 1/3 and 1/4 make no difference in gameplay in CTB. Poor them for not being able to enjoy the jolly 1/3 patterns.

Would someone mind to elaborate to a non-mapper what "3 snap" means? Is it a rhythm thing, maybe something like a 3/4 time as is the case with Waltz?
In each of these songs, each beat is divided into 3 instead of 2 or 4, usually with sounds predominantly on the first and third segments of the beat. It gives the song a "bounce" or a "swing" feeling.
Yeah it's generally called "1/3 Snap" in osu context. Just thought "3 Snap" is a... snappier title.

Well, there's Ooa Hela Natten, that's a James map. Boten Anna's a classic, indeed. Ahh, well...
My first thoughts were, "Oooh! Swing time! Bet there will be some Christmas songs in there." (My theory is that Christmas songs use it because it's the natural way people ring jingle bells, and it developed into a signature trope of the genre.) And yeah, swing time is only one way that 1/3 divisor can be used (swing time is where you pretend that eighth note pairs divide the beat into unequal parts (1/3 and 2/3) instead of halves), but it is a very distinctive marker of the type... many have at least one "skippy" section of swung pairs.
I was disappointed that there wasn't an Ondo (as working/marching songs, they tend to be swung to provide momentum)... but then I went looking and found that there appears to be a shortage of swing time Ondo maps (Neko Neko Ondo is exactly the time of Ondo I'm talking about).
Anyways, fun chart, I like the skippy.
