When me and my mate play Osu! co-op, the host is always ahead of the other player. This can get really distracting as the music is also out of sync (and I end up getting the sound from both my mate's speakers and my headphones).

What if the mouse input was send (via a seperate thread to reduce the performance impact) to the other player who's game will use the input to move the mouse when the sender is taking their turn and vice versa. I think that would make the tag co-op mode much more 'in sync' and reduce the number of blame-games created by the latency currently present

Honestly regardless of what you suggest there will always be latency between everyone. You have to take into account not everyone has the best internet. Also no matter what you are going to hear them behind you at all times, no matter how you are talking to eachother online there will always be latency there. If you don't like hearing that tell them to use push to talk. I doubt this will ever go through since I doubt anyone cares about this or would find it useful. It doesn't delay the game or anything so I don't see the point in doing it.
