[Archived] Combo colours mixed up in .osu

The combo numbers in the .osu do not correspond to the correct combo in-game.
.osu : in-game
Combo 2 : Combo 1
Combo 3 : Combo 2
Combo 4 : Combo 3
Combo 1 : Combo 4

Noticed this when swapping the positions of two colours in the .osu.

I thought this was on purpose.

This is an off-by-one error which goes back to 2007. At that time, orange was supposed to be the first colour, like in Ouendan/EBA. There's a bunch of awkward code to shuffle around the order of colours in Song Setup to match what the game does.

I don't see this being worth changing, honestly.

It just makes swapping the positions of combo colours a lot more of a hassle since you've gotta work out which colour is which in the .osu. If only there was an easy way of doing that in the editor...

The first colour is actually the last colour. That's all there is to it.

Yeahhh but it still takes more brain activity than a simple task like swapping two colours probably should.

Oh well, if it's too much hassle to change then I'll live with it, I just figured it worth bringing up just in case.

That would only work if the colours were in the right circular order. If the current colours are 1,2,3,4 and I want the combos to go 1,3,2,4, the order wouldn't be correct no matter which colour goes first.

In which case you can use your brain a bit (Hopefully you'll have enough left over from mapping) and fix it around the bug.
