So this is something I think could help add even more music to the osu! library. It's simple, Just make a new forum topic in the beatmaps section titled "Beatmap Requests" where beatmappers who don't know what they want to map can go to Not only does this encouraging mapping, but it provides and opportunity to find new music that you like.

Rule thingies:
• Don't suggest a song that already has a ranked map
• Include song link inside post
• As always, don't spam or bait

everything else is pretty much fair game

This was a thing a while back if I'm not mistaken and it just became a dump area for songs with no one really mapping them. If you want to map a song you will need to map it yourself.

Since people USUALLY map songs because they like the song, they will rarely take beatmap requests.
For me, mapping is not something that you should force to do.
Anyway, the old topic was closed, so I guess that idea will be rejected :(
