Im suggesting this mainly because of a few reasons.
1. Shitposting, memes, drama are all getting out of hand with people spamming the map thread every single few hours,and if its not constructive, I dont see why it should be posted,rather than adding more useless pages to a map thread and make it ultimately ugly af, might as well make a comment section where people can voice out their opinions or drama on the map,or even small stuff like 'i want to see this ranked ><' kind of thing.
2. People that have posts in their map threads sent directly to their emails will be spammed forever till the drama stops if there is one, which is really annoying to have,since you wouldn't be able to check and see who gave constructive feedback or not from the email itself unless you go to the thread,which kinds of wastes time and brings up hope for no apparent reason at all.
This has become pretty apparent in the mapping community that even GMTs have to step in to stop the nonsense
The comment system will work as a mini subforum,like disqus, if possible.
