I am a little worried about your current settings for timing. Unless your song is some classical piece or something, everything should be on beat or fairly close. On top of that, you are using sixth notes which rarely ever appear. I advise you get the timing checked asap unless you really think you know what you are doing because there is a high chance that either the entire timing is wrong or there are multiple timing sections.
Assuming you know what you are doing, the first question I would ask, does the song sound like it needs double the BPM? If your BPM is between 100-200 and does not have ridiculously fast instruments, don't double the BPM. Also, if your song still sounds off after you double the BPM, please do not try doubling the BPM again (almost certainly something is wrong if that scenario occurs). Beyond that, you should not be in a scenario where you have to use a slider to cover up a location (there are a few exceptions like offbeat vocals which will require you to play around a bit). Only use sliders when they fit, don't force them.
In summary, get your timing checked. If it is fine, feel free to either double the BPM or use sliders as long as they fit.
