Ah, modding Roseus' mapsets. How long has it been since the last time?

  1. 00:01:889 (1,2) - Ah, now I understand Deif. I don't like these stacked notes at the same place, so I think it's a good idea to move (1) to at least x120
  2. 00:26:844 (6,1) - Why it's not a dash, when there's hugh vocals + downbeat? maybe you should make one
  3. 00:39:662 (3,1) - Yes, I am not a fan of ambiguous distances, but I think it's too overdone. Decrease the distance a little bit
  4. 00:54:117 (3,4) - Is this supposed to be fun to catch?... I think it's a good idea to CTRL H (4) and then move it to x180, also making it gorizontal. This is how it supposed to be like

Collab overdose
00:04:071- 00:04:549- I think the first part of the stream should be a three sound branch instead of the second one, or both should be 4-circle branches. ( I think the rhythm is fine )
00:32:435 This jump is a bit weirdly placed. ( It's emphasis on the “Wa” vocal )

00:52:821 this sound was very remarkable for me because it plays weird.
01:19:480- 01:19:889- Could have been triangles. It would be a lot more fun imo.
Had to go really into the details, because this map is almost perfect. You guys did a great job with this one. Maybe there's too many hypers in one place which makes it easier eventhough the SR goes higher. (If I really want to be pecky)

00:11:162and 00:13:208these two patterns feel weird to play. It gives you the feeling of pressing again the dash eventhough it is unnecessary. (The dashing puts the emphasis on the guitar sounds, so I believe it's necessary)
00:43:208- ^ (Emphasis on the vocal here and to give the player a bit of a challenge, no change )
00:07:889- This jump has the feeling of PUPA, which is not good. ( … I have never played that map so I don't know what you're talking about )
00:12:799- Travel might be too high ( You're right )

01:17:571- Travel might be too low

The spacings are weird sometimes.

Until around 00:20:162- there are lots of uncalled mini-dash jumps here and there. Platter players would struggle with this too much. ( Can you please copy paste notes in the editor when you're giving an example of what to fix? Otherwise I have no idea what you're talking about ;-; )

00:46:617- This circle and the triangle slider after it is pretty harsh for a platter player. A bit awkwardly spaced

01:07:071These backwards jumps are too hard for the platter player, don't you think?

This diff is too hard for a platter player. This diff is pretty close to a rain. (Most of the harder stuff is in Ascendance's half since I tried to nerf this several times)

honestly, since both you and ascendance have very solid grounds of structure in mapping there isnt really much wrong in the set. heres a couple (literally in most diffs) of things i have problems with

cup
00:14:844 (1) - make this a 3/2 slider instead of 2/1 so it fits the vocals more accurately and to be consistent with 00:17:026 (1) -

00:39:526 (2) - sounds better if you move this slider to 00:39:389 .

00:04:071 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - there should be a dash to this stream imo, how about making it more vertical and putting a dash

00:39:389 (2,3,1) - at such high of a bpm, having two dashes close together here can be really hard for the player. i would maybe try to remap so that there is only a dash to 00:40:071 (1).

  2. Salad is ending on 01:24:799 - instead of 01:25:889 - like the Cup. i get not mapping the last part like platter-overdose but atleast keep these two diffs with concistent endingtimes
  3. would try and find someone to help with the timing of this mapset. since every other downbeat in the section 00:13:889 - to 00:31:344 - hits on a red tick instead of a white tick there might be something wrong here. Would give you what timing to use if i knew it, but tried some timing points based on This guide without really getting the results i wanted.
  4. Diff jump from salad to platter is pretty high, my main concerns in the platter also relates closely to difficulty so would try to nerf platter to hit closer to salad than it currently is.

  1. 00:05:162 (1,2,3) - walk from tail of 1 to head of 3 can get a bit tight if you start a bit late. i would reduce spacing between 2 and 3 to around 1.2x and have 3 be a straight slider going to the left instead to create some emphasis.
  2. 00:08:435 (3,4,1) - since you can just passivly move from 3 tail to 1 head 4 does not get the emphasis it should get. Maybe copy 3 and use that as the slider for 4 too, using direction changes to emphasise the sound on 4.
  3. 00:19:344 (1) - feels a bit awkward since there is a pretty significant guitar sound on 00:19:208 - that is not mapped. would reduce 00:18:662 (3) - by 1/2 beat and move 00:19:344 (1) - 1/2 beat erlier, remove the NC and add NC to 00:19:617 (2) - instead
  4. 00:33:526 (1) - would preffer this as three notes in one direction instead, ameks them feel more connected with the vocal imo:

The dash density/tapdash problem can also be explaiend by a bit to high sv. horizontal sliders often become very tap-dashy in the diff.

  2. 00:10:071 (5,6,7,8) - reduce spacing between notes a bit to make more walkable.
  3. 00:10:617 (1,2,3,4) - dash 3 to 4 is not that justified. spacing between 00:10:617 (1,2,3) - is also a bit high. reducing this would also help.
  4. 00:11:980 (2) - tilt a bit vertical to make pattern more walkable.
  5. 00:13:208 (2,3) - reduce spacing a bit.
  6. 00:16:480 (2,3) - reduce horizontal movement a bit. hard to catch without tapdashing.
  7. 00:17:617 (3,4) - having a 1/3 dash is a bit awkard when note density is so high around it, can change 00:17:026 (1) - to end at 00:17:435 - so that note density is more calm and the focus becomes the 1/3 dash. else i would consider using a walk with some anti-flow.

MA claims soft-hitclap.wav is unused. I cant hear it mapped anywhere either, but mighthave missed it. ( You might have an old version of the map because I don't have that hitsound in my files. Try redownloading the the map after I update and that hitsound shouldnt be in the files )
Salad is ending on 01:24:799- instead of 01:25:889- like the Cup. i get not mapping the last part like platter-overdose but atleast keep these two diffs with concistent endingtimes ( Changed it )
would try and find someone to help with the timing of this mapset. since every other downbeat in the section 00:13:889- to 00:31:344- hits on a red tick instead of a white tick there might be something wrong here. Would give you what timing to use if i knew it, but tried some timing points based on This guide without really getting the results i wanted. ( Timing is fine because it hits mostly on large white ticks for main sounds besides the vocal. I tend to follow the vocal in my mapping so that may be causing some confusion too.)
Diff jump from salad to platter is pretty high, my main concerns in the platter also relates closely to difficulty so would try to nerf platter to hit closer to salad than it currently is. ( I've read your suggestion on nerfing the SV but I don't think that's the real issue. Platter does need to be nerfed but I don't think SV changes is the answer. I'll apply your changes that I agree with in Platter and see what happens to the star rating and ect. )



Cup
00:05:162 (1,2,3)- walk from tail of 1 to head of 3 can get a bit tight if you start a bit late. i would reduce spacing between 2 and 3 to around 1.2x and have 3 be a straight slider going to the left instead to create some emphasis. ( Worked it around so the spacing would be reduced but that's about it )
00:08:435 (3,4,1)- since you can just passivly move from 3 tail to 1 head 4 does not get the emphasis it should get. Maybe copy 3 and use that as the slider for 4 too, using direction changes to emphasise the sound on 4. ( I don't exactly know what you want me to do and I don't like the sound of what you're asking me to do because it sounds like you want me to make it antiflow )
00:19:344 (1)- feels a bit awkward since there is a pretty significant guitar sound on 00:19:208- that is not mapped. would reduce 00:18:662 (3)- by 1/2 beat and move 00:19:344 (1)- 1/2 beat erlier, remove the NC and add NC to 00:19:617 (2)- instead ( Mapped in a different way that follows the guitar better )

00:53:162 (1,2,3,1,2,3)- vertical sliders lead to too high movement, hard to hit the entire slider at times without correcting with tap-dashes ( Slanted the sliders a bit and rearranged )
