OT: I think it's unnecessary, and it'll look weird compared to all the other countries unless you suggest they add their state flags too (if they have them).

But we really don't need any flags that show this much detail. As adam2046 mentioned if you start doing this everything gets a lot more complicated in various countries to sort out and very few people would ever need/use it (not to mention 95% would not even recognize most of the state flags)

Yeah it would be kinda confusing for the USA but I'm from the Azores which are islands in the Mid Atlantic Ocean and I *sigh* belong to Portugal. It would be cool to have the Azorean flag but this already had been denied -.-
