How about this feature? (maybe it can be an option)

This feature will make this game have more fun.

How it work?
It's just put your VR camera to your eyes and looking for notes (left, front, right) and click them.

Ps. This feature is only for who wants to play to this feature (maybe they already have VR camera). If who do not need to play in VR mode just turn it off.

Even if it is fun, it kinda feels technically touchscreen and this is gonna be... Extremely hard to implement and not even 1% of all osu! players have VR camera yet.

Lol Vr on a 2d game.
VR is still really costy and I don't really see any need for VR to be implemented into a 2d game such as osu!
VR is supposed to make you feel like you are in the game but osu doesn't even go for that aspect to begin with, it's just clicking circles, bashing keys, banging drums, and catching fruit. Maybe standard would work fine with this but any other mode it would be completely useless I think.

Oh, and don't forget the extreme neck-snapping you would experience at some points if you need to turn your head.

So people need to buy equipment in order to play a game mode?
Hell no

Only people who can afford such thing (aside from a graphic tablet) can play.

Doubt all this work would go into implementing this when only a little amount of users could afford to play with it.

This could probably already be done by projecting the screen to a virtual screen in VR. Seems kinda pointless though if you still use the mouse/pen to click circles. If you want a fun VR rhythm game you should try Audio Shield.

Have you tried Virtual Desktop?
