I did search for this already and did not find it, but apologies in advance if this is a duplicate.
If you could not grasp this from the title, I am proposing a feature similar to 'Use Taiko skin for Taiko mode' which can be found in options.
This would benefit multiple modes players for the same reason as the taiko feature, especially in multiplayer; no need to worry about your skin during multiplayer (no one wants to leave a lobby just to switch their skin).
I do realize you can combine skins into a mixed skin, but it is a bit more challenging for mania due to the separate inis and all. This feature would benefit those of us whose talents do not lie in computer.. stuff... especially new and/or younger players.
As for CTB, it would mostly just serve convenience purposes.
