Usually, when someone uses /np to show what song they are playing, they don't intend to highlight anyone. Highlighting isn't too much of a big deal as you can disable it, but it's nice to not have #highlight open when someone wasn't trying to talk to you. This is just my suggestion, sorry if it is a repeat (my searching skills suck).
