And so the mod begins, although it's all minor gripes really. Not much important stuff to say on mapsets like these.

[Easy, Normal and Hard]

The only advice I can give with the lower diffs is the sometimes odd slider shape choices. I'm just a kind of person that steers clear away from slider direction changes that do not emphasise a rhythm while they're being held down. Even then if you put anchor points on a slider and it's rhythmically correct they can still end up looking weird. It's not like my opinion on slider styles should ultimately affect someone else's slider styles though, so it's up to you. That said, I won't stop my irrational disgust of non-geometrically pleasing aesthetics from showing you a few examples of the sliders I dislike (It's all of them):

Easy

00:19:479 (2) - Even though the guitar is muting their strums for effect, it doesn't translate to sliders well.
00:24:690 (3) - the inward curves don't do it for me. To each his own.
00:25:953 (1) - doesn't blanket in any way, making it look completely out of place.
00:42:374 (3) - and all similar, except for 01:15:058 (2) -. This one is actually alright.
00:49:953 (3) - and all similar
00:51:216 (1) - shouldn't you be accenting 00:51:847 - here and not 00:51:690 - here?
00:52:479 (2) - direction change not timed correctly.
00:56:111 (1) - I think this is the furthest reach I can go for "acceptable".

Normal

00:10:637 (1) - and all similar
00:43:953 (2) - and all similar
00:45:374 (4) - and all similar
00:51:216 (1,2) - I'm not aesthetically pleased, basically
01:15:058 (3) - One I actually wholeheartedly agree with. nice.

Hard

00:19:479 (1) - and all similar
00:28:479 (1) - and all similar
00:47:426 (5) - what do the curves mean, what do they do? Why are they there?
00:56:111 (1) - is in a moral grey zone.

00:02:032 (2,3) - A case of playability vs musicality here. The real rhythm of the guitar's strums is on the white and blue tick instead of the blue and red. While mapping it this way is fine I'm sure you're aware of an alternative that looks something
like this
The same thing happens at 00:04:795 (3,4,5) -
00:57:374 (1,2,3) - while I understand that this rhythm is using (2) to emphasise the clap on (3) you're creating a disconnect between a later phrase 00:59:900 (1,2) - here, where you haven't emphasised the clap. I would personally change the former into the latter because of the call & response nature of the melody in these parts, making it look
like this
. 01:12:532 (1,2,3) - is up for interpretation because there is no call & response here.
01:16:479 - to 01:25:163 - This section in general seems very loose on its structure. If you're going to cherry pick from each part then I would rather you focus firmly on the instrument you're emphasising and keep emphasising it until it drops out. You get phrases where it's hard to discern which part you're playing. 01:17:900 (2,3,4,5) - Are you focusing on the piano? Probably not because 01:18:058 - is a slider end, instead of a clickable object. The drums? No because 01:18:532 - isn't clickable and it would seem more appropriate if 01:18:374 (4) - was both circles. And in that same combo; 01:17:584 (1,2,3,4) - Guitar sounds mapped as sliders on (1) and (2) and then a circle on (3), even though (3) is just (2) but longer, melodically speaking. I feel like this rhythm contrasts the song more than it does conform to it. This does happen in earlier sections (00:11:268 (3,4,1,2,3,4) - , 00:14:426 (1,2,3,4) - ) but not as many times as in this section and those sections only use that rhythm without variation, making it consistent enough to become a motif. It's really nitpicky but honestly this is the least clearly mapped section of the piece.

Still pretty good though.

[Janpai's Insane]

00:05:426 (3) - this circle would benefit from slightly smaller spacing to emphasise the jump from 00:05:111 (1,2) - . Right now they're too similar in jump distance.
01:04:795 (6) - you might want to give this a larger jump to 01:04:953 (1) - so you can accent on the push rhythm, similar to how you did 01:09:847 (6,1) - this jump. It doesn't need to match that intensity of course, but right now the jump from 01:04:637 (5,6) - is longer than the jump from 01:04:795 (6,1) - which I'm not all that happy with.

Other than that, really nice work.

[Sotarks' Expert]

00:37:637 (2,3,4) - I would be less hesitant at calling the (2) a bad choice if appeared more often. As it stands currently this is the first appearance (out of two) of a jump to a non-dominant stack, making it a pretty unexpected rhythm - especially when it's 40s into a TV size piece. What causes the problem is the way its blanketed actually made it harder to see it in my case. It should probably re-spaced more intuitively like 00:47:111 (3,4,5) - or the rhythm should be rewritten to be more readable.

[Kanto's Memories]

00:02:268 (2,3) - This rhythm feels empty. I don't know how else to put it. I just think it doesn't fit very well. If you wanted to map a rhythm that's very calm you could always just put the 1/1 slider 00:02:268 (2) - here and leave 00:02:742 - empty. Rests are particularly effective at providing contrast. While if you wanted something more active two 1/2 sliders would still do wonders.
alternative rhythms
00:14:426 (1) - I don't have a problem with the slidershape itself, you do re-use it so it's not an outlier, but you need to be more careful with exactly whern you use more interesting sliders like this. There's no structural difference between the phrase leading up to 00:11:900 (1) - this note and the phrase leading up to 00:14:426 (1) - this note so they really should be the same. I recommend you restrict it to places like this 00:30:847 (1) - where the vocals are stressed in a push rhythm and/or at the start of a new section.
00:16:953 (1) - speaking of slider shapes from the previous point, this is a one-of-a-kind and it doesn't accentuate any new instrument or sound that we haven't heard before, so just convert it into one of your already established slider shapes.

00:04:479 (1) - Jump here for consistency but tbh since this is just the intro and the music is really calm here, deleting jumps at 00:03:216 (1) - 00:05:111 (1) - makes more sense cuz it improves the relative intensity stuff
tbh the 1.4 DS in the next part is so minuscule that it provides no emphasis and besides it's also inconsistent lol >> 00:16:953 (1) - 00:13:321 (1) - etc. Just stick with the 1.3
00:18:374 (1) - this kinda jump works but it should be at 00:19:479 (1) - instead to indicate the transition. Stick to the 1.3 DS here and do something like https://puu.sh/wDTm0/8958488375.jpg at 00:19:479 (1) -
00:25:953 (1) - don't like how you skip the second red line here lol. 00:25:321 (3,4) - seem like they are mapped to the vocals and 00:27:847 (3,4) - seem like they are mapped to the guitar. The second red line has both vocal and guitar so ya it doesn't make sense to skip it
00:39:216 (3,4) - flip this rhythm around (slider after circle) cuz you are clearly mapping to the secondary guitar elsewhere like 00:37:953 (3,4,5) - . for consistency
00:51:216 (1) - because the SV changes so does the spacing multiplier. Change this so that 00:50:584 (3,4,1) - are equally apart from each other
00:41:111 (1) - 00:43:637 (1) - don't like how these were mapped with sliders like 00:43:005 (5,6) - . Please use two circles for emphasis. Maybe also stack those circles for more emphasis XD
00:46:795 (3,5) - no need for jumps here. Just stick to the DS; the music is still calm and stuff. Save the jumps for 00:49:953 (1) -

I also checked the Insane and imo you should add more jumps to the kiai for spread and emphasis. You can either jump on cymbals like 01:01:321 (1) - 01:15:058 (1) - etc. or you can jump on strong vocals like 00:57:374 (1) - 00:59:900 (1) - 01:02:426 (1) - etc. But either way make it consistent and don't do random jumps and make sure all sounds you choose have jumps. The jump is really small already so you need to be really consistent for the emphasis to work. Also I recommend buffing the jump to 1.5x. Jumps rn are moderately random so there is no emphasis effect.
01:13:953 (1) - this is unexpectedly large. Understandable if this were on 01:15:058 (1) - but that's not the case so eeh nah this is too big
01:08:268 (3,4,1) - fyi this type of movement is very different from 01:09:532 (3,4,1) - 01:07:005 (3,4,1) - because 01:08:268 (3,4,1) - forms a complete curved line and is a wide angle stuff which feels kinda random being on its own. However if you can exploit this it can be used to emphasize the rising vocals here. so either make 01:08:268 (3,4,1) - kinda like the rest or make the rest like this one lol. The latter is much better but might be hard to map

Rhythm feels way too dense in the intro IMO, I think it'd be better to undermap some notes to better contrast later intensities in the kiai and such. I think something to help this would be to make 00:01:953 (2,3) - and 00:04:479 (2,3) - circles, if not at least one of them to make the buildup feel stronger.
00:13:321 (1) - Re-DS this, slightly off.
00:19:479 (2) - Sliders like this can be a tad bit subjective since the slightly curved-in section makes the direct path a little less clear. To make sure it's as clear as can be, could you make it like 01:25:163 (2) - perhaps? Same at 00:44:900 (3) - .
00:24:690 (3,4,1) - Improve visual spacing here, (1) is closer to (3) than it is to (4). Easiest fix is to pull (1) up.
Referring to intensity as from here: http://puu.sh/wLgAC/08ca3442cf.png, the section from 00:20:900 (1) - to 00:29:268 (2) - is one of the most dense in the map and would thus be one of the hardest parts for a newer player to play, and it really doesn't make much sense across the difficulty that this is as hard as it is. Yeah, there's a constant 1/1 beat sure, but it doesn't hurt to undermap an easy to better establish a demonstration of intensity across the map as a whole. Follow the vocals a bit more and add some rhythm gaps to make this less difficult.
00:29:268 (2,1) - Don't believe this is really appropriate for an easy. Time-distance equality is really important and doing stacks like this can be confusing for someone new to the game, I think a better alternative would be to just move it further away altogether. It might take some re-arranging on your part but I'd rather see this changed.
In terms of rhythm density over this diff, 00:41:111 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - is the hardest part of the map, and it's not really fitting IMO. I think you could reduce some density here by removing 00:43:321 (4) -
00:44:900 (3) - Maybe do a 3/2 reverse slider here? 00:45:374 - feels underrepresented.
00:51:216 (1,2) - So going with overdone intensity again, this could definitely have 2/1 gaps between the sliders since strong sounds fall on the 2nd beats at 00:51:847 - and 00:53:111 -. Better follows the vocals since that's what you've been doing anyways.
00:54:374 (2) - So, circles in general in an easy create a build-up since they are by nature harder to play. Given that the song is building intensity here going into the chorus, would you consider putting two circles here instead of a slider? Could be cooler in that sense.
01:26:268 (3) - Throwing in a 1/2 like this at the ending is just really awkward for the overall map. Just put a circle on the red tick.

I personally disagree with your rhythm choice in the intro. A lot of what people chose to map in the GDs and such is to the vocals since they're the strongest part there, then drums after that. The simple 1/1 slider intro just feels to ignore it. Try to incorporate the vocals more maybe by introducing 1/2 rhythms but still keeping density low.
00:26:584 (2,3) - This is really offputting for me. Why do you suddenly follow the guitar sounds but ignore them at 00:26:426 - and 00:27:690? Building on that, if you include those guitar sounds as something you map to at some point shouldn't you do it at 00:28:479 (1,2,3) - as well? Lots of rhythm choice inconsistency here.
00:51:216 (1,2) - Same thing with the sliders from the easy, this just doesn't feel right to have the strong sounds be within the slider.
Don't have anything else, difficulty looks good!

Lots better since last time!
Again with overly dense intro IMO. Do away with 00:02:742 (3) - to give this part a little less umph, constant 1/2 feels excessive.
I liked how you stacked things to give a little less motion to these things in the intro, and I feel you should do that at 00:03:690 (2,3) - too.
00:19:163 (3) - Feel like these should both be clickable, two strong drum beats on head and tail.
Aesthetic nitpick, make 00:20:900 (1,1) - same angle pls
00:25:953 (1) - This doesn't make sense to me rhythmically. You focus on vocals and guitar later but this covers both.
00:55:795 (4) - Same thing about both being clickable here, these sounds should be imo.
00:46:795 (3) - I like the spacing emphasis concepts throughout the diff, this feels overdone though. Same at 01:13:953 (1) - . I saw you mentioned to crys that it's a loud clap but it really doesn't need this much emphasis in the slow part. It's already a sharp flow change, that emphasises it a bunch.
00:53:742 (1,2,3,4) - I'm a little unsure about this rhythm choice. It doesn't really suit the build-up since it's about as dense as the strong drums in the next measure. What I liked about the other diffs in this set is that they make this very weak then going into a stronger buildup with the drums, and I think you could better reflect the music by doing the same.
00:58:795 (1,3) - Another aesthetic nitpick, same angle pls <3?
Rest looks fine to me, but what I really still find uncomfortable about this difficulty is how you don't really change overall flow in a broader sense. To better explain this, look at 00:00:690 (1) - to 00:24:690 (1) - . If you'll notice, you'll see that you're just going around clockwise the entire time. There's no back and forth motion, no switch in direction. You do a lot better in this case with the slow part, but then you do the same but counter clockwise through the kiai. This might be overly nitpicky but it would be more interesting to see more diverse movement in gameplay rather than just moving in circles around the playfield for an entire section.

pkhg's Insane

Use some finish hitsounds on the cymbal crashes, feels really empty on strong notes.
Just HP 6 maybe? 6.5 feels a bit punishing.
Love your difficulty, super clean and very nicely made. My only real big issue is that your intro from 00:00:690 (1) - to 00:09:374 (6) - is harder than most of the opening sequence of the song: http://puu.sh/wLkeg/de6ad3cd89.png and quite harder than the section upcoming. I think you could nerf some distance between notes and stuff to make it more balanced overall.
00:26:742 (4,5) - Would be cool if you could make this all clickable for the guitar sounds.

I feel like you use the finish hitsound a bit too much in this difficulty, it becomes too frequent and loses some of its emphasis, or over-emphasizes sounds that shouldn't be. Here's the ones I think should be removed: 00:15:532 (6) - (consistency across diffs, and it makes the next one stronger), 00:29:584 (1) - , 00:32:111 (1) - to 00:39:690 (1) - (these aren't cymbal crashes), 01:13:953 (1) - , 01:15:847 (1) - (almost no sound here)

00:10:163 (2,3,4) - Given that these sounds are pretty weak, they play really strongly and almost overpower some of the notes in the section that is preludes. Could you tone the spacing down a bit? Love the 1/4 slider idea but the spacing is pretty large (larger than upper two diffs, for example)

Why not use some hitfinish hitsounds throughout this diff? It'll add some more emphasis to the cymbal crashes and make sections feel more prominent in gameplay.
I like the overlap style but I feel you could do it more precisely/accurately. A lot are a bit quickly done, like 00:12:690 (4,2,1) - for example and are inconsistent visually making for some awkward aesthetics. Maybe use consistent numbers, click on the coordinates and then move them relatively by a set amount for all notes, and it'd look really, really nice.
The intro feels overdone for the most part in terms of spacing imo, it should lead into the section starting at 00:10:637 (1) - as a weaker start rather than a stronger one. It'll help to emphasize the chorus better.
00:01:953 (1,2,3,4,5) - I'm having trouble understanding as to what rhythm you're following here. Vocals end halfway through the pattern, the guitar falls on each white tick, and that scratchy noise is only on beat 1 and 4. IMO this rhythm feels a bit arbitrary. If you include it it'd help to include a few more within this section. Next I interpret this as starting with vocals: 00:05:742 (1,2,3,4) - , but then a switch to drums at 00:07:005 (1,2,3) - . I don't see any consistent focus on a few select instruments in the song, which I think you could improve a bit to help playability.
00:12:690 (4) - why not make these both clickable? Equally strong sounds on the head+tail. You do at 00:15:216 (3,4) - , for example.
00:26:347 - include this note perhaps since you focus on the guitar a lot?

00:44:268 (6,7) - Seeing vocal emphasis here, but nowhere at 00:41:111 (1,2,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,1) - feels inconsistent. I think it'd be better if you incorporate more rhythms from the vocals into the first section here to make this overall part more consistent and easy to follow.
00:42:690 - (that timestamp tho) could you maybe put a sliderend here? This sound feels a bit downplayed imo.
00:47:347 (4,5) - More subjective, but this sort of motion is really sharp, playing it like this instead: http://puu.sh/wLo9e/f2087d8229.jpg would put more emphasis on the downbeat rather than the 1/4 kick and thus making the vocals feel stronger in gameplay.
00:53:742 (1,2,3,4) - Love the idea here, but the placement feels a bit uncomfortable. It doesn't stand out much in terms of other elements of the map and doesn't feel special by how the flow goes. Giving it some unique difference would make this a lot cooler.
00:59:268 (3) - Feel you could make head+tail here clickable instead
01:06:373 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This feels overemphasized, not a fan of the spacing increase in this part of the map. It doesn't really fit at this point in the song seeing as it is the biggest jump pattern in the difficulty, IMO it'd be better elsewhere. I think a pattern like this would be better represented at 01:09:374 (2,3,4,5,1) - where the vocals grow in intensity and peak at the highest point in the song. I think the spacing here would be better reflected as something like 01:07:953 (2,3,4,5,6) - .
01:09:374 (2,3,4,5,1) - Going with the previous point, this feels underdeveloped in contrast although the vocals are so strong in comparison, I think you could do more to make this stand out more than the previous two measures.
01:25:163 (4) - compare to 00:19:479 (1) - , same sound across sections would be nicer as same rhythm.

Kanto's Memories

Up OD to 8.5 maybe? Better for the spread since Sotarks has 8.2. Also consider HP 6.5 instead, 7 is quite punishing.
Fell in love with this difficulty when I saw it, very well done! Just a few things I wanted to mention.
So my only real big issue with this difficulty is that it feels almost too consistent in spacing, and that it doesn't ever get that much less difficult. I would really, really love to see the intro and this section from 00:20:900 (1) - to 00:29:584 (6) - get less spacing than the rest, they're almost on par with the kiai at some parts even though it's a calm section of the song.
00:26:742 (4) - Both clickable maybe, since you follow the guitar strongly at 00:26:347 (2,3) - and at 00:27:690 (3,4) - .
00:39:374 (4) - Maybe make this clickable on head/tail, since you follow vocals a lot it'd better represent that imo.
00:40:795 (8) - DS error
00:41:111 (1,2,3,4,5) - Compare to 00:43:637 (1,2,3,4) - , you stay in the same place in one but then go back to the first jump in the other, for consistency's sake I think it'd be better to do it one way or the other.

The custom hitsounds feel alright with each difficulty, but it'd be nice to see some things emphasized similarly across the set like the cymbal crashes. Not entirely sure how I feel about bubbling this yet so call me back when this is fully responded to and I'll see about it then

Referring to intensity as from here: http://puu.sh/wLgAC/08ca3442cf.png, the section from 00:20:900 (1) - to 00:29:268 (2) - is one of the most dense in the map and would thus be one of the hardest parts for a newer player to play, and it really doesn't make much sense across the difficulty that this is as hard as it is. Yeah, there's a constant 1/1 beat sure, but it doesn't hurt to undermap an easy to better establish a demonstration of intensity across the map as a whole. Follow the vocals a bit more and add some rhythm gaps to make this less difficult. okay did in some way hope its fine
00:29:268 (2,1) - Don't believe this is really appropriate for an easy. Time-distance equality is really important and doing stacks like this can be confusing for someone new to the game, I think a better alternative would be to just move it further away altogether. It might take some re-arranging on your part but I'd rather see this changed. just check that
In terms of rhythm density over this diff, 00:41:111 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - is the hardest part of the map, and it's not really fitting IMO. I think you could reduce some density here by removing 00:43:321 (4) - not really hard theres only 1/1 sliders imo but removed
00:44:900 (3) - Maybe do a 3/2 reverse slider here? 00:45:374 - feels underrepresented. okay okay

I personally disagree with your rhythm choice in the intro. A lot of what people chose to map in the GDs and such is to the vocals since they're the strongest part there, then drums after that. The simple 1/1 slider intro just feels to ignore it. Try to incorporate the vocals more maybe by introducing 1/2 rhythms but still keeping density low. i dont really follow vocals in the whole diff, i guess here would be a kind of inconsistency but i guess it's still playable and noticeable
00:26:584 (2,3) - This is really offputting for me. Why do you suddenly follow the guitar sounds but ignore them at 00:26:426 - and 00:27:690? Building on that, if you include those guitar sounds as something you map to at some point shouldn't you do it at 00:28:479 (1,2,3) - as well? Lots of rhythm choice inconsistency here. okay did

What I liked about the other diffs in this set is that they make this very weak then going into a stronger buildup with the drums, and I think you could better reflect the music by doing the same. tried removing 00:54:220 (2) -

Rest looks fine to me, but what I really still find uncomfortable about this difficulty is how you don't really change overall flow in a broader sense. To better explain this, look at 00:00:690 (1) - to 00:24:690 (1) - . If you'll notice, you'll see that you're just going around clockwise the entire time. There's no back and forth motion, no switch in direction. You do a lot better in this case with the slow part, but then you do the same but counter clockwise through the kiai. This might be overly nitpicky but it would be more interesting to see more diverse movement in gameplay rather than just moving in circles around the playfield for an entire section. kinda understand what you mean, it'll surely help me with my future next hard diffs. thanks!

The custom hitsounds feel alright with each difficulty, but it'd be nice to see some things emphasized similarly across the set like the cymbal crashes. Not entirely sure how I feel about bubbling this yet so call me back when this is fully responded to and I'll see about it then
