[Requesting GDs] DO THE MARIO

Man I've been waiting for one of my maps to graveyard for this. I did a quick map and thought I should share it to the rest of the mapping community in case they want to map this song as well.

Now since I'm a mania player, I only mapped it in mania, but I don't care what game mode you feel like doing, do anything.
The rules for this are pretty simple:
1. The map has to be playable
2. The map needs to be in sync with the song.
3. Do not use the default names for difficulty, come up with your own difficulty name!
4. Have fun!


Even if you don't play mania, give the song a listen and see if you want to map it.

Heck if you can come up with a better background than I can go ahead and use it.

I could try this, it sounds like fun! I'm really just a Standard mode player, but feel free to give suggestions on how to improve my map when I make it.

Alright, made my Standard Mode Insane diff. map. I gave it a "unique" name as well, but I also set the BPM to 160 rather than 320. Lemme know what you think!

Ahaha, nice. The only thing I changed was putting your name in the difficulty so they know it's you not me.

I think it fits pretty well. (maybe the hitsounds are loud? I don't know, mania maps normally have hitsounds much quieter if there are hitsounds. Probably just a mania thing.)

I/you could adjust the hitsounds, whatever works, but they should be heard to keep the rhythm flowing. Oh, and yeah I did forget to include my name in the difficulty, but I can do that real quick.

I mean, I'm a newbie ;-; how do you upload a different difficulty of a map originally made by someone else? When I try to, it says "The beatmap you're trying to upload isn't yours!" I'm not quite done with mine, I just wanna upload it for some mods and hitsound help.

You'll have to get the .osu file for every difficulty you need from the beatmap creator. It's like reverse-GD'ing. Instead of providing, you take. If you don't know how to do that, first you open up the difficulty in the editor. In the top left hand corner click on File, then go down to the bottom and click on "Open .osu in notepad." It'll open the .osu file, simply copy all of it. Then you send it to who wants it.

Also, I can help with hitsounds. Or at least try to. :lol:

Well I decided to look at other hard maps to compare and from the looks of it, what makes this map impossible are the very quick jumps(?)

From what I've looked at, most of the more difficult maps use streams for this kind of speed in a song.

Well, that's coming from me though, but if the map really isn't playable that's the best advice I can give.

For now though, I updated it with the fixed hitsounds Drudeger! In terms of hitsounds, it is definitely better!
Although it looks like you'll have to edit the map again to make it more playable, try doing what I did with looking at maps of the same difficulty and see how those are mapped!

I highly recommend that you increase the approach rate (AR) to something like 8 or something, but also... the timing on a lot of the sliders and beats seem off. The jumps are really crazy as well, so I recommend you go in and redesign most of them, right now I don't think it's playable.

Lol I got it, thanks, though I've started works on my own projects (don't worry, it'll be WAAAY better from what I did here 😅) so it may take me a little bit of time to redo this.
