Happy April Fools, everyone! A special thanks to ztrot for the sounds and the title screen.
osu!core will return as a mod in the next release or so. In the meantime, you can still enjoy it by setting your clock to April 1st GMT.

It'a funny seeing all the people hating this joke... at least it's better than Xfire's april fool joke was.... ugh... the Xfire team obviously have no taste in humour. Osu!Core on the other hand was awesome fun, whilst Xfire, I avoided the website completely for the duration.

Okay, I have read all posts in this topic and I felt greatly amused. Seriously, people were taking this way too seriously, like osu! was their second life! That osu!core thing was a grat idea, and (what's most important for me) quite original! I'd like to have next year's 1st of April as much entertaining as this one!

so much people liked it and much not maybe it would be an ideo to do an option to activate or deactivate it. 
It was stated in previous posts that, osu!core will be included in an upcoming update. So you'll be able to turn it on and off at your leisure ^^

I found this joke to be quite funny, even though I really don't like Nightcore.
Mind you, it's inclusion as a mod is a masterstroke. This way, the need for Nightcore maps is non-existent provided one can map the original song, thus meaning less Nightcore maps cluttering up the place and the Nightcore fans can Nightcore any song they want to their heart's content.
Everyone wins, Nightcore haters and Nightcore lovers alike.

I was at school on April 1st, so I changed my system date to April 1st just to see what happened on that day, and... 8 hours passed and I still didn't change it back...Liked it.
