Isn't it still the plain old osz now? Anyway, I don't think there will be a batch transition of all legacy beatmaps into osz2. This will force us into redownloading all beatmaps,which is silly.JesusYamato wrote:

I'm lazy and just scanned through the first 3 pages, and yet I didn't see anything like automatic conversion. If that's the case, let's put off the video question until that really happens (osz2 have been "around the corner" for ages we all know that). This moment where you could enjoy the video while getting ranked score may be fleeting, but yet it's better than nothing at all. I'd say let's just enjoy the map for the moment, get a good ranked score if you can, and sit back and relax.JesusYamato wrote:

I'm way late to the party (as I've seen it would have been a waste of effort anyway), but I saw one argument that I don't think was adequately resolved/explained:
inappropriate does not mean obscene, though I can understand why you'd mix the two up. Inappropriate means it does not fit the map. Hitsounds are audio feedback. Having a hitsound with no discernable downbeat or percussive impact (eg a motorbike demonstrating the doppler effect to an observer) is bad. A man grunting "Uh!" is okay, since there's an impact to the sound. If you have a note that grunts when you hit it, you can still measure your timing against a metronome.Lunah wrote:
