new years resolutions: i'd like to rank something

latest edit: i reworked the kiai so there's not so much of it, also reworked the kiai part after being inspired by Opsi's map to map it the way i wished i could've mapped the kiai (but didn't because i'm not as blessed :( :( :( :( :( :( :( ) <<still a work in progress as the whole kiai isn't reworked yet

the other difficulty is how i mapped the kiai before remapping it, so please use the two diffs to compare

00:24:035 - dont know why you ignore here but you can overmap for rythmic consistency, or make space between 00:23:950 (5) - 00:24:121 (6) - them more.
00:30:635 (4) - you use kickslider on strong beat here 00:30:292 (2) - so use it there too 00:30:635 (4) -
00:40:578 (1) - dont think that it's a good way (there is two sounds)
01:53:178 (6,1,2) - how to read? no gaps between 1\4 and 1\2
01:54:807 (1) - make a kick slider here or make spacing consistable 01:54:807 (1,1) - like there 01:57:550 (1,1) -
There is a lot of weird moments with spacing, you should review it yuorself and nerf.
05:19:321 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6) - you use stream here but later you use 1/1 rythmic 05:22:064 (1,2,3,4) - , but sound dont changing. it's VERY unconsistable
About aesthetics. This isn't good. 00:34:750 (1,2) - IMO too close
Much curves weird for me. 01:18:978 (1,1) - like this but it's only my opinion.
01:21:721 (1,1) - dunno why you rise sv here. you are impact in nothing :D
Much waves should be fixed too. like this 01:50:864 (3) -
So the main problem it is unconsistency spacing. You should improve it. I dont link all moments, cuz rly much of them. Recheck your aesthetic moments, blankets, curves.

Like I said via in-gam PM, there's a handful of unrankable issues in this map at the moment. Preferably fix these first, before I go into detail about the actual patterns.

Whooaaaaa that's really strange. Those things weren't there when I uploaded a couple days ago. I'll get fixing those. (example) the bg pic isn't a problem on my side it's already the correct size but for some reason it says it's still a problem for you.

Fix the (kiai) stuff from aimod k ty

00:17:950 (3,3,5) - As you have NCd every 1/1 for the stream patten right before so why not continuing it until the spinner? The patterning changes but you still use a style (let's take this 00:17:607 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - pattern as an example) where the 1|2 form a pattern by themselves and the other notes have absolutely nothing to do with the sliders. This does not apply to 00:19:664 (1,2,3,4) - which is considered as a single pattern

00:24:121 (6) - As you already have showed the nature of this map (technical and streamy) it's kinda weird that you have this slider so close to the stream even though it's two ticks apart from it timeline wise when for example you have used much higher spacing for example here 00:19:664 (1,2,3,4) - and here 00:24:807 (6,7,8,9) - for objects that are only a tick apart from each other. I'd suggest you to move it further (and) or in a position it clearly indicates that it's two ticks apart.

Another way to deal with that issue would be to map 00:23:950 (5) - as a 1/4 slider. This would fit really well into your style of mapping (atleast to what you have represented in this map specifically) and most likely fix the spacing issue when done correctly

01:05:607 (5) - Somewhat notable change in the level of the beat. Could be NCd

03:08:692 (1) - Technically this slider could end to 03:09:207 - and the current end point could be mapped as a normal hitcircle because the sound the slider mainly follows changes at that point to a bit higher pitched one. 03:16:407 (2) - For example to the last suggestion you have done something similiar i meant here with the slider but you could've for example mapped this 03:17:092 - aswell

04:37:835 (2) - Even though there are no sliders affected by this, it could be NCd because of the drastic change in spacing

I experimented with 3 ways of mapping this: all sliders, beats 1-4 as circles, 5 slider and then ending on a circle, and the way i have it. I feel that this is the best rhythm that leads into the next section. imo.

my goal is to slow down the cursor movement and buffer it until they finish the last kick slider. the reason why i don't have them facing any other way is because it flows in a fashion that I do not want.

when I started mapping the echo-y part as a stream, i wanted to start this phrase off as mapped to the wubwub. that's why i mapped to the strong beat of the wub instead of where I have the clap

It's not a bad idea, in fact. I actually originally wanted to map it that way, but I wanted to keep that section as close as possibe to its first appearance at 01:17:950. I didn't even map it that way in the first appearance, but instead made it a whole slider. the second appearance is a bit more mapped, but still a break for the player.

reworked it a little bit. fixes the visual issue. keeps the flow at the same time.

i'm an idiot. i never completed my mod, BUT HERE IS WHAT I HAVE FROM BEFORE. D:

[General]
  1. Make sure the inherited timing point and the uninherited timing point don't conflict in their samplesets.
  2. You have an unsnapped inherited timing point at 01:53:363 -
  3. Consider adding a couple more combo colors, since just white and green get a bit tiresome to look at the whole time.

  1. Consider making the AR 9.5, because 9.4 feels oddly specific, and a little bit weird.
  2. 00:09:035 - and 00:09:207 - Please don't make the sliders this curved, the head is overlapping with over half of the slider end as well. These are kind of ugly. ;;
  3. 00:25:492 - You could use a normal whistle on the slider body here, for a cool slider slide.
  4. 00:28:235 - , 00:30:121 - , 00:30:292 - , 00:30:464 - , and 00:36:464 - Same as above. (I won't mention this again in case you disagree.)
  5. 00:39:207 - Shorten this to end at 00:39:378 - and have a circle at 00:39:464 - since the wub isn't one complete sound, it flucuates at 00:39:464 - . So it sounds a bit odd to have it mapped the same as all the other ones.
  6. 00:40:578 - This wub isn't one complete sound, just like the last one, it flucuates at 00:40:750 - . So consider making it 2 1/4 sliders. (But I think you made it one slider to have some variation from the other 1/4 sliders here.)
  7. 00:41:435 - and 00:41:521 - Could be removed, and have 00:41:607 - moved to 00:41:435 - and be changed to a reverse slider to better emphasize the vocal here, rather than just ignoring it.
  8. 00:59:778 - NC due to the SV change.
  9. 01:00:464 - Same as the above point.
  10. 01:02:521 - To be honest, this overlap looks really ugly, considering you have a lot of space that you could use, instead of having it right under 01:02:007 - .

-i really dont recommend black as a combo color, especially because a lot of people play with full dim.

00:06:636 (1,2,1,2) - i think this pattern would be better if used in the beginning. if you switch around the patterns ( 00:01:151 (1,2) versus 00:06:636 (1,2) ), then the beginning would appear to be more "closed" -> then the pattern switches to something that looks more "open". which works nicely if you want to visually show a build-up imo.
00:09:379 (1,2,1,2) - i dont really like having 1/4 here, that particular instrument continues even after these objects are finished. (basically it feels and sounds weird)
00:19:665 (1,2,3,4,1) - make a perfect pentagon?
00:20:351 (1,1) - T R I A N G L E S ! !
00:28:579 (1,2) - the angle seems very sharp and uncomfortable. suggestion: do a ctrl+g on 1, then the flow will be similar to 00:28:922 (3,4) (more circular)

02:21:036 (1,2,3) - I don't the spacing is suitable. 02:20:522 (5,6,7) - It works well here because of the sounds.

02:22:751 (4,1) - I don't think this plays very well. :c

03:18:636 (1) - the kiai section starting here feels very monotonous imo, I think you could spice it up a bit! :P

00:14:522 (8,9) - these would look nicer if they were similar to 00:03:551 (8,9) .

00:18:636 (1,2,3,4) - As is this one. (While I feel like you're adding them for buildup, maybe just reduce the duration of those streams)
00:33:379 (1,2,3,4,1) - This five note burst pattern does not fit in with the pattern of all your other five note chains.
00:42:293 (1,2,3,4) - The direction of this stream is fluctuating so much for how long it is. It would probably fit more with the other streams if you tried to keep the stream as one giant curve.
01:53:265 (1,2) - It's impossible to tell those two sliders exist. Space them out a little more or change the direction of the slider body to point out to the side?
01:58:751 (1,2) - As are these two.

Looking at this pattern and listening to the song again, I can't help but think buzz sliders might not be the thing to place here. Before this section you were using 1/4 sliders to reflect the same sound used at 02:10:751 (1,2) . I think it might be better to simply up the SV on 02:11:093 (1,2) and change those buzz sliders into 1/4 sliders? You could also increase the spacing without the fear of derpy slider breaks as well.

(PS: I didn't know they were saying dark and light triangles... LOL)

Looking at this pattern and listening to the song again, I can't help but think buzz sliders might not be the thing to place here. Before this section you were using 1/4 sliders to reflect the same sound used at 02:10:751 (1,2) . I think it might be better to simply up the SV on 02:11:093 (1,2) and change those buzz sliders into 1/4 sliders? You could also increase the spacing without the fear of derpy slider breaks as well.

So I changed the suggested bit to 1/4. No derpy slider breaks, it still sounds good. I think it was a good change to make
