mod out of nowhere because fuck you that's why

[General]

I think AR5-6-7 spread would be nicer.

[Cup]

00:09:505 (4) - Stronger distance would be nice, whilst it's already stronger than the last note, it's not really a noticable difference, but the pitch on this indicates that it should be, so try x:464.
00:12:213 (1) - x:208, the extra emphasis works well in my opinion.
00:20:061 (2) - Some kind of repeat movement here because of the way the instrument structure repeats here with lowering in pitch would be pretty cool, try ctrl+H and moving it onto x:464.
00:23:143 (1,2,3) - 1 could have a stronger distance for more emphasis on the start of the kiai and the new instrument being introduced in is also pretty strong. Try moving 1 to x:48, 2 to x:16, and 3 to x:224.
00:25:887 (1,2) - x:208 would be nice on this section, both for a bit higher distance to 1, and for distance consistency with previous part from 2 to 3.
00:29:594 (3) - Maybe split this into 2 circles and have a stronger movement to the end of this slider currently, as it's actually a pretty nice note to emphasise a bit more.
00:31:360 (2,3) - x:48 would be nice for more emphasis on 2 here whilst keeping similar flow.
00:34:071 (3) - A tiny bit strong right now, try x:416 for similar distancing to your other strong movements.
00:35:434 (2) - x:64, this note's pretty strong, more emphasis would be pretty cool.
00:36:798 (4) - Again on x:64, I think a repetition in the distance here would nicely repeat the intensity in the music, and the backforth motion here would also help to incorporate it. (An even higher distance would work if you think more emphasis would be nice, that can work too).
00:39:525 (4) - This one's stronger than the previous notes, so a higher distance would be nice, try x:432.
00:42:252 (1) - A tiny bit more emphasis would be nice, try x:32.
00:44:961 (2) - x:240 would be a nicer distance here to better emphasise the pitch change.

[Salad]

00:02:291 (2) - I don't think you should use dashes this early in the map, and these notes aren't really particularly strong, especially if you consider later on in the map, so reducing it to x:384 would be nice.
00:05:054 (2) - x:144 here for the same reason.
00:09:505 (4) - x:496 to make the distance change more prominent for the pitch change?
00:11:531 (2) - Strength on this is a bit too strong considering notes aren't too prominent, maybe just do x:256 on this.
00:13:215 (4) - Same as the beginning of the mod, x:432.
00:15:976 (2) - Again here, x:144.
00:20:402 (4) - I think here, a dash isn't really necessary, but you could still emphasise it with a strong direction change, x:448 would be great.
00:23:160 (1) - Dash to this would be nice, try x:496 maybe?
00:25:205 (4) - x:448 would work pretty nicely on this, try doing that, lowers distances so a dash doesn't feel as necessary to the next note and also lowers emphasis on the weak note here.
00:26:526 (2) - Very strong distance, especially considering the backforth movement here, try x:368.
00:29:594 (3) - Same suggestion as in cup.
00:31:360 (5) - Dash to this would be nice considering the strength on this note and violin here, try moving it to x:448 and 00:32:041 (6) - to x:160.
00:33:389 (3,4) - I think moving this to the left to x:368 would be nice, for less strong movement to 3 to better show the pitch changing here, and also to add a dash to the next note.
00:35:093 (2) - x:144 here would be nice, dash doesn't really seem necessary to me.
00:39:525 (1,2,3) - A stronger distance would be nice to 1, for emphasis on the pitch, however the other notes have a bit too strong distance right now, and they can feel difficult with normal movement. Try 1 on x:496, 2 on x:240, and 3 on x:160.
00:41:571 (4) - If you did my previous suggestion, move this to x:448 to add more distance to it and also add a dash to the next note. If you didn't, then increase the distance to add a dash to 1 in a different way.
00:43:275 (6) - Decrease slightly to make it easier without dashing, try x:352.
00:44:961 (2) - x:448 would be nice for a dash here, distance is possible without dashing how it is now.
00:47:007 (4) - Kinda strong for a 1/1 backforth, reduce slightly to x:320.

[Platter]

00:08:142 (2) - How small the distance is to this throws me off, I think you could ctrl+> and move it to x:72, it'd be great.
00:11:531 (2) - Movement to this feels a bit too strong right now, maybe do x:152 instead.
00:13:215 (2) - Consistency in timeline with the start of the map please? The fact this is different just feels really strange.
00:15:976 (2) - ^
00:20:061 (3) - A bit too strong for a normal dash movement, maybe try x:384, would feel nicer.
00:25:205 (3) - Do x:112 instead, this cross screen movement, whilst easily possible without dashing, could throw off a platter player slightly, and so a light reduction on it would make it easier for them.
00:31:360 (6) - Hmm, maybe do x:96 and curve it around a bit more, it'd be nice, and then it'd be a better dash distance.
00:33:389 (2,3,4) - HDash to 3 makes a lot more sense than a HDash to 2, 3 is the strong note there, so try 2 as a horizontal slider to the left on x:176, 3 on x:496, and then 4 on x:400 to keep similar flow afterwards.
00:35:434 (6,1) - Doesn't really feel strong enough for a HDash to this in my opinion, x:192 would work fine on it, and then also add a stronger distance to the strong note on 2.
00:37:480 (3) - x:248 would be nice for a weaker distance to this, as it's weird without dashing right now, and also a stronger distance to make a dash to 4.
00:38:843 (5) - On this you could have a double dash to emphasise the pitch getting stronger a bit better, do x:24 on it.
00:40:207 (2) - A bit strong for a non-dash, just do x:240 instead.
00:41:571 (4) - Double dash again would be nice here, x:128 would be cool.
00:44:280 (1) - Maybe do a horizontal slider to the right at x:400? Increase the distance to this whilst keeping it as a non-dash, and then also add a HDash to the next note, which is strong and emphasises the end of the kiai.
00:46:325 (3,4,5) - Maybe do normal distance from 3 to 4 and then a dash to 5 to emphasise how that note is stronger in this slow part? Could do 3 on x:368, 4 on x:56, and 5 on x:496.

Alright, done.

I'm not QAT but I think I'm good enough for this

Pokemon anime stuff is listed in Japanese, but game content can be in either English or Japanese. It depends on when global releases occurred, whether or not we have an official soundtrack, and other weird stuff.
Pokemon X/Y was the first game to have both the game and soundtrack come out at the same time globally, so this affects a couple things.

Similar BN metadata post that will be referenced

Title: 一曲いかが?「揺れぬ想い」
Romanised Title: How About a Song? "An Unwavering Heart"
Because there is an official translation, put it in the romanised part. Same as the other BN.
Source

Artist: 景山将太
Romanised Artist: Shota Kageyama
Source: Same as the BN's post, nothing to debate

Source: Pokémon X and Y
Romanised Source: Pokemon X and Y (Note that there's a difference on the é)
The official site lists it as Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, but that's more of a long version. None of the ranked pokemon maps use the format that the site does because it's extremely drawn out and long. Go with Pokémon X and Y so that it's consistent with other Pokemon maps. In the example I linked above, I don't think the BN checked if the source was right, so that slipped through the system. This is the best option.
That said, if a nazi bn/qat comes along, just change it to the long version.
(i spent like 30 minutes on the source part >.<)
Sources: fuck there's too many that I went through, just google the game title and have fun

Modify your tags, Remove:
pokemon - Redundant with romanised source
x and y - ^
b/w x/y - Tags are used to search for beatmaps, I don't think anyone will ever search with those tags, your call.

I modded this map once before, but it's probably fine if I get kudosu because that mod was 4 months ago. That rule is more just to prevent farming. But since I can't get kudosu from just metadata alone:

Include a description in the main post of why you have a B/W BG, since half of the modders are wondering why you did that.

00:11:531 (2) - If you add a red slider point to the left but keep the original circle positions, it makes the droplets more catchable. It's subtle, but makes things flow much better
Feel free to do this to other sliders in the map if you think any are needed
Just because of how slow this song is, I think it would be better if you added more NCs so that they don't go above 6-8, but that's just an opinion

coming at you with a metadata check requested by the nominators involveddd

checked the japanese discography to find the following. Please change to this!

Title: 揺れぬ想い
Romanized Title: An Unwavering Heart
Artist: 景山将太
Romanized Artist: Kageyama Shota

For source you can use either one of the following:

ポケットモンスター ブラック is pokemon black
ポケットモンスター ホワイト is pokemon white

Either one works!

Kageyama Shota should be the correct artist, the BN check referenced several months ago was before the change to how Japanese artists were dealt with, so the correct way should be last name, first name.

No kudosu obviously, if you or any nominators have questions, feel free to contact me.

edit: the bg is kind of unfitting for such a calm song lol
edit2: why did you cut the song in half :\\\ the original is 1:47, that's kinda lame
MBomb
Had a discussion with other BNs about metadata too. We came to a different conclusion due to differences between this song and the one in black and white, this is more of a "remastered" version.

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/pokem ... d741190064 Was used for metadata, track 77.

Putting in everything, but not everything is different to how it is now.

Title: 一曲いかが?「揺れぬ想い」

As Ascendance said, there was a change to how Japanese artists should be dealt with.

I would prefer the source to be japanese, but not the one Ascendance posted, as this is the version from pokemon x and y.

also i think the game source for pkmn x/y in japaneese is ポケットモンスター X・Y

idk i got it from here http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ ... on_X_and_Y in the other languages tab lol

also i changed the image to something more calm. (still b/w)

Recheck, mostly for NC stuff so it's not even really important but yeah i was getting triggered.

[General]

Add tags like Game Freak Pokemon, and maybe character names of the characters in the bg?

[Cup]

00:29:935 (4,1) - Swap NC here.
00:34:071 (3,1) - Swap NC.
00:36:798 (4,1) - Swap NC.
00:39:525 (4,1) - And again.
00:44:280 (1,2) - More of an opinion based one, but swap NC here would also be nice.
00:46:325 (1) - Remove this NC.
00:25:887 (1) - x:240 on this, feels nice to have more emphasis on this.
00:30:616 (1) - On this, x:96 would be good for more emphasis on the backforth.
00:44:961 (2,1,2) - x:256 on this section feels better for more emphasis on the first 2.

[Salad]

00:12:213 (3) - NC on this for consistency.
00:29:935 (4) - NC on this would be nice.
00:42:252 (5) - NC for consistency.
00:44:280 (1,2) - Same as cup, swapping could be nice but it's personal opinion.
00:20:402 (4) - You said you moved this to x:448 with my mod but you didn't? Either way, it feels a lot better there.
00:31:360 (6) - x:112 would feel better on this now with the changes you made to distancing.
00:39:525 (1,2,3,4) - Again, you said you changed these but you hadn't. 1 on x:496, 2 on x:240, 3 on x:160, and 4 on x:416, feels a lot better.
00:43:275 (6) - x:352 to make it easier without dashing.
00:44:961 (2) - Another thing you said you applied but didn't, x:448.
00:47:007 (4) - And again, x:320.

[Platter]

00:23:160 (3,1) - Swap NC.
00:29:935 (4) - NC on this could be nice.
00:34:071 (3) - NC.
00:36:116 (1,2) - Swap NC.
00:42:252 (5) - NC.
00:44:280 (1,2) - Same as cup and salad, I think swapping NC could be nice but up to you.
00:31:360 (6,7) - 6 on x:72 and 7 on x:232 would be nicer, both to ensure a dash to 6 and also because the distance to 7 seems a bit strong considering the strength of that note as it is.
00:36:116 (1) - x:440 would be nice, next note deserves some more emphasis in my opinion.
00:38:843 (5) - Whilst my previous suggestion was too strong, I'd say something like x:96 on this at least would be nicer.
00:44:280 (1) - I think to the right would be nicer on this, would create a nice HDash to the next note, which is pretty strong.
00:47:689 (5) - Slightly higher on this please, x:464 would be great.

Alright that should be it, call me back. Starred because this is looking a lot better now.

Everything looks good to me now.

Bubbled <3

Note to next BN: Source I'm pretty sure about, but it may be best to check yourself, it's Pokemon X and Y, but it's in Japanese (Because I heavily prefer it like that). However, the way X and Y are seperated may not be the way the metadata people want it, I'm not 100% on that.

Edit (Another note to next BN): Artist name order may be wrong, I thought it was this after multiple discussions with other BNs but there have been some disagreements now, a different bubbled mapset by the same artist had Shota Kageyama as the artist. That one also had this artist given by Kwan, so I'm not so sure about this anymore.

00:09:505 (4) - Change this so that the whistle comes on the start of the slider.
00:25:205 (4) - Remove this whistle and add one to the start of 00:23:160 (1).
00:25:887 (1) - Add a whistle here.
00:27:889 (4) - Remove the whistle from here.
00:28:571 (1) - Add a whistle here.
00:31:360 (3) - Add a whistle here.
00:32:041 (4) - Remove the whistle from here.
00:34:071 (1) - Add a whistle here.
00:36:116 (3) - Remove the whistle from here.
00:36:798 (1) - Add a whistle at the start of this slider.
00:38:843 (4) - Move to x=112 to show a larger movement to the higher note. Move (3) to x=432 or closer. If you move it closer than x=432, then you're going to have to move (2) more leftwards as well.
00:42:252 (1) - Add a whistle here.

[Truth and Ideals]
00:01:305 (1) - Please fix this. This was mentioned earlier, but this should be at least a 1/1 slider as there is no note on the end of this slider currently. No justification for overmapping on such a calm song.
Edit: Alternate solution is to lower the hitsounds on only the slider ends.
00:04:031 (1) - Same as 00:01:305 (1).
00:08:142 (2,3) - I don't hear anything that justifies these slider tails. Just make this a 1/1 slider instead.
00:12:213 (1) - Same as 00:01:305 (1).
00:14:978 (1) - Same as 00:01:305 (1).
Platter looks pretty good!
Remember--similar hitsounding patterns as the other two difficulties.

Call me back when you've done this and i'd be up for a recheck.

[Cup]
00:02:291 (2) - Remove this whistle and add one on 00:01:305 (1) and the end of the slider to keep consistency with later.
00:05:054 (2) - Same pattern as 00:02:291 (2).
00:06:758 (1) - Add a whistle here to make it like 00:12:213 (1).
00:25:887 (1) - Remove whistle here and add one at 00:25:887 (1)'s head.
00:27:889 (4) - Same procedure as 00:25:887 (1).
00:34:752 (2,3) - Lower this to a 1.91x spacing to keep uniformity with 00:37:480 (2,3).
00:43:275 (2) - The whistle here sounds out of place. Remove it and add one to 00:44:961 (1).
00:43:275 (2) - Flip this on its head. This removes the antiflow to the long movement that plays a little strangely.

Recheck.
Metadata: Reiterate from DM change "pokemon" tag to "pokémon".
Timing: Looks fine after a second check.

Placement looks fine so I'll give another hitsounding mod. I'm sorry to go back on some ideas, but it doesn't seem like you always followed my suggestions despite saying you did? I'll be more specific.

rerecheck i guess xd

[General]

Add tags: Pokemon How About A Song An Unwavering Heart Super Music Collection OVERLAP
quick explanations, pokemon because not everyone will search with accented e, english translation for obvious reasons, super music collection because it's the name of the soundtrack, overlap because they helped publish the album

[Platter]

00:08:142 (2) - Split this into 2 circles and make this pattern a triple with increasing length. May require a bit more curve on slider 3.
00:11:531 (2,1) - 1 is a lot stronger than 2 here, a dash to that would make a lot more sense.
00:13:215 (2,3) - Add a dash between these for consistency.
00:16:333 (3) - Same with this, x:232 would be a nice dash.
00:20:061 (3) - Maybe split this into 2 circles too, and have the stronger distance to the second one for emphasis on both pianos used together there?

Seems fine to me other than this stuff.

With maps that use the english source, it's listed as Pokemon X/Y, so it makes sense to list them both. Listing only one would make no sense as they are essentially the same game with very minor differences (This song not being one of those differences). They are also marketed as the same game.
Lanturn
The official English site never actually uses Pokémon X/Y anywhere. it's always just "Pokémon X and Pokémon Y" :P

It's the same with all of the games that have multiple versions.

The Japanese site does the same (separating the versions), though the news section and some of the other places on the site does use ポケットモンスター X・Y to shorten it.

RIP my scoreboard
IamKwaN
Discussed with my colleagues, decided not to disqualify this set as the official mentioned the games as a whole with a shorten form and therefore we could not say it is incorrect.

from http://www.pokemon.co.jp/ex/xy/

Thank you Lanturn for information!

I also forgot I have checked another song from the same video game before. ポケットモンスター X・Y is suggested by me as the Source, baka me >_>
