Osu! Beginner's Tournament [ CANCELED ]

Hey what's up Osu community !
I'm calling all beginner - avarage Osu players !

I wanne organize a small tournament with 8-16players , these would be the rules

- 2v2 ( Bracket randomizer will decide who teams up with who so two people of higher ranks would not team up on purpose )
- First to 5
- Group stage Double Elimination - Single Elimination
- Maps between 2 & 4.5*
- First map get chosen by first player in the match bracket ( challonge )
- After that , player 2 choses a map , than player 1 again and so on
- Global Rank 75.000-750.000
- Mods are allowed
- all players will be joining the same lobby
- ONLY RANKED MAPS
- Name in bracket same as osu username
- Register HERE : http://challonge.com/Osubeginners

TOURNAMENT STARTS BETWEEN 5-6PM CEST , 4TH OF AUGUST

what you mean by this. all players will be joining the same lobby but only playing people will " ready up "

Imma change that , what i meant was that all people will be in one multiplayer lobby and only players that are up against eachother will put themselfs as ready ^^ . But everyone can put themself on ready and play , i'll just look at the two scores that matter :p

1. Are there any country restrictions?
2. How about people with different time zones?
3. Yes I understand the 2-4.5* ranked maps, but is there a specified map pool? Is it all free mod?
4. What is the scoring system (v1 or v2) ?

1. No country restrictions
2. It's CEST , you gotta see for yourself if you can make it or not
3. You can pick all maps as long as they are between 2 & 4.5* and Ranked it's all okay
4. Score V1

Maybe make it a 2v2 or 4v4? thatd be very interesting and then more people can play :D

Just my suggestions:
1. This is quite difficult since beginners tend to not show by the match time. Communicating with them constantly (using Discord or any other chat channel) would be nice. (Just my experience when doing beginner tourneys, *this is completely optional and not required*)
2. I think the 2v2 can be quite good (don't 4v4 pls it's messy)
3. If you decide to push through with the 2v2, I recommend Score v2 since the rank range is quite large. And beginners (especially in a 2v2 or 4v4) shouldn't be carried by their partners. Everyone has to pull their own weight.
4. Also, if you ever decide to push through the 2v2, please revise the details so that everyone will keep up with the details here in the thread.
Just throwing my thoughts, up to you to decide :)

1.the map pool will be messed up
2.the rank gap is too high
3.time zones?
4.you don't even have osu!tourney or access to !mp commands
5.i'm not joining this due too those reasons

Umm the brackets are weird why are the brackets like this like 4 teams get 1st round byes
that isn't how double elim works...

Challonge fills in the brackets itself , because it's a 32 man tournament and as long as those aren't filled some teams will get a bye :)

On the forum post, the starting time is 6pm, in challonge 5pm. So when does the tournament start, I'm a bit confused ^^

Anyone from the tournament who wants to have a practice match my partner and I can do one at 5 - 7 pm UTC(can be arranged) on any time this week just msg me or FreezingTooEasy. IF you guys want a tiebreaker map msg me and we can work it out the details

To all people participating , i will CANCEL this tourney due to it being really hard to keep up with it and because i feel like a 1v1 would be way easier to make
I WILL OPEN UP A NEW TOPIC FOR A MULTIPLE DAY 1v1 TOURNEY
