Okay, so I have been playing for about two months and recently I decided to try out a few skins to spice up the game's looks; however, the interface looks SO distracting and I do a lot worse than normal when I try to play without the default skin. Will I get used to it?

You can try to get some simple, minimalistic skins.
You could try to disable combo bursts if it gets too distracting.
Finding a skin you like(Maybe favorite anime, character etc) makes it enjoyable too.
And as cliche as it is "Play more. Please enjoy game."
