I went through and rechecked hard and maniac, found a few things to fix. The bookmarked areas in it are the only non-authentic parts, so I'm more likely to make changes there. Normal is completely non-authentic, so anything goes there. If something is indeed too hard, then I'll make changes, but I think I got all of it. Thanks for the mod. I wouldn't have rechecked it myself without it.HakuNoKaemi wrote:
[Hard]If I'll mod it considering it non-authentic, I'll do something like this, can I continue?
- 00:12:333 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - Following the pitch, is something like this
1st 3 notes are harp, last 4 are synth. Plus, I only have 4 y axes I can choose from. Also authentic.- 00:21:500 (x) - Add a normal note one line underr the last and
- 00:21:833 (x) - Add a normal note at y 288 ?
Did something different and followed bass- 00:31:333 (2) - +1 repeat (to make it end at the same sound of the start)
made it authentic. Somehow I missed this one, or it got changed in modding- 00:36:166 (x) - Expected note y 256 ?
authentic- 00:43:833 (1) - If it's following the ever~, it should end in the big white tick
I'm not sure why it ends on a blue tick like that, but it's authentic, and it's not noticeable to me. Maniac has this too- 00:59:333 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Blue Hold ?
there's actually a drum beat here with the sliderslide noise that I tried to get. Also authentic.- 01:04:000 (5) - "The-", one line higher than the last since is higher pitched
authentic- 01:09:500 (1,2,3,4) - Since 01:08:833 (5,6,7,8) - went up, this can went down?
I moved one note down at the end. Jump was 3.0 back down to 2.5.- 01:17:500 (1,2,3,4) - Since the jump are quite large, I suggest to do this
eww. This is far easier than the previous stream. The only time I'm going to stray from authentic notes is when I really need to due to difficulty, or it's just impossible to recreate in osu.- 01:23:833 (5,6,7) - Move the notes one line under for this (since the jump does not quite fit)
Okay, but it goes to the bottom instead of the top. Lol, it's the same distance either way. First 2 notes are the ewi, 3rd is a bass hit. Matched something I did later. http://puu.sh/17JiG- 01:26:500 (1) - e - ver~ stays better than a single hold
I'm actually never mapping lyrics in this.- 01:37:500 (x) - Add normal note here
I like it better without- 01:45:166 (1) - Instead, an hold that start from 01:45:000 (x) - ?
There's actually 2 notes here- 01:46:000 (4,1,2,1) - uhm, use a different pattern? it's not quite easy to intuit it
It's intuitive when you know what you're listening for. In any case, fixed SB for one of the holds- 01:51:166 (x) - Add a normal note for "I" ?
again, mapping the ewi here.
More changes. You are welcome to try to map something, but it's not at all easy. The other option would be to map something for airwave (my other osuka map which IMO is better than this one).HakuNoKaemi wrote:
[Easy](I couldn't find any lite mixing videos...)There are none. Hard and maniac are the only authentics[Normal]
- 01:10:166 (x) - Add note here? You're following voice in that part, and a note here is felt k
- 01:34:833 (x) - Add note for the same reason I don't actually know where "love" goes, but I suspect it's on a 1/2. I didn't feel the beat here
- 01:37:333 (6) - For the vocal, it should be at 01:37:416 (Use Grid 2), for the hitsounds at 01:37:500 (6) Actually all the lyrics are off a bit.
- 01:40:666 (1) - Make it start from 01:40:500 (1)
- 01:42:333 (1) - Move at 01:42:000 (1) -
- 01:51:333 (1) - Make it start from 01:51:166 (1) -
- 01:52:833 (x) - Add note for the dear I suppose switching back and forth from lyrics to ewi is a bit confusing, and it would probably help if I had more hitsounds available to make that more clear.
- 01:58:500 (x) - the "e"
[Hard]
- 00:03:833 (x) - Circle dat snap? It's not on hard
- 00:12:500 (x) - Since you're following 00:12:666 (1,2,3,4,5), why not adding a note here? because it's not obvious to me
- 00:42:000 (2,3) - It's quite confusing, since it doesn't follow whay you were following before and interrupt abrupty the flow- move to 00:41:833 (2,3) ? Changed the previous so it flows better. I do that pattern all the time in this
- 01:29:833 (2,1,1) - It's quite confusive... Did something different
[Maniac]
- 00:21:666 (2) - Since the 00:20:666 (2,1) follow that snare(?) sound many could mistake this being in 00:21:500 (it does have that snare) and 00:21:833 (x) have the sound sound at an higher pitch(aka should be 2 grid higher than the last) Unlikely anyone would mess that up, but changed the y axes to match the bass
Hard→Popular Mixing
- 00:31:000 (2) - 1 grid up for the difference in pitch with last. Should have a better flow, since (1) ↑(2) ↓(3) ↑↑(4)
- 00:32:500 (4) - Same height as 00:32:167 (2) (same sound) I'm coming to the conclusion that I can make anything fit here because there's just so much going on
- 01:20:166 (x) - Add note at lower height
- 01:21:500 (2) - Make it start at 01:21:833 (2) to better follow voice - and add a note at 01:21:500 (1) if you want(make sure you make (2) one grid higher no, not the voice! the ewi!
- 01:29:833 (3,4,1,1) - Like this should feel quite better
Maniac → Technical Mixing
right? Correct. I could probably rename the difficulties to that, but I also want to stick to osu standards
thanks.Charles445 wrote:
Generalthe whole "proper dimension" thing is a joke. The rule exists to prevent huge images from covering up the whole screen, causing more draws. Most skin files are drawn with a center origin, which means that it doesn't matter what size it is. The ones with center left/right/top/bottom or a corner matter a bit more. There are very few situations where a smaller dimension has an adverse affect
- A lot of your hitburst images don't have proper dimensions. I don't see any visual bugs ingame though, so I'm not sure if they should be fixed or not.
InstructionsI don't know what I was thinking. Redid all the holds in all maps using 5 points. Now that I think about it, I should have just done 3 for normal. Oh well.
- The repeats stick out at the top, which is ugly. http://puu.sh/18gbq
EasyFixed, I guess.
- 01:08:167 (1) - This is 2 ms long, grab the endpoint and fix it.
NormalThese are pretty well authentic. It seems technika doesn't always map with the absolute correct rhythm in mind. In these cases ending 1/4 early doesn't bother me at all. Perhaps it's because the hitsounds blend in so much. I'm probably being hypocritical by wanting to keep them, but so be it. The spacing is somewhat difficult to read, but we're all so used to 2 dimensional spacing that it shouldn't phase anyone.
- Why is the playfield smaller?
- 00:27:666 (1) - This is the only bezier curved slider in the set. As such, it doesn't follow the bar properly. For all intents and purposes it works just fine, but you may want to change it for authenticity/consistency reasons.
It starts and ends with the bar, which is good enough for me. Curved drag notes exist in technika, and I wanted to use one there. I could have just made it straight, but I wanted to try the curve.- 01:55:666 (1) - This ends on an awkward beat. Extend it to the next red tick. http://puu.sh/18gus
Hardoops
- 01:40:166 (2) - This is not placed on the time bar!
