I'm playing Hd and Hr 3star maps so the AR is 9.8
this is actually pretty hard because there's only 2-4 note preson on the screen at a time so it forces you to snap and react quickly
But I don't know if this will help improve my playing or it would make it worse

HR is absolute worst for reading, you will only learn to mash. Play low AR instead.
It will make you worse if that's all you play. If you want to improve reading, lower AR maps are better, 3*HR is just whackamole practise for people who can't read AR10.Aktsumi wrote:

Your natural AR will increase gradually as you play nomod maps with higher and higher star rating.
And if you want to get really good then play AR11 only. It works wonders for reading.
