So you know how at the main menu and before you join a multiplayer lobby you have multiple options for music, such as previous track, next track, and most importantly jump to window. But when you're in an actual lobby itself, you can only pause and replay the music you're about to play. So I thought that the developers could put the music options from the main menu into multiplayer matches. This way everyone can listen to the music they want to. Also a very good benefit from this is that you can recommend a song to the host. As you know there are some people who make lobbies where they are the only host. They usually ask for recommendations. So now that you have the jump to window option, you can search for a song you think is good, play it, then you /np. So now the host can download the song you wanted and can have the lobby play it. But of course if you want to return to the song that you are about to play after listening to your own song you can just click the song itself in the lobby. I apologize if this is too long, as this is my first thread. Let me know your thoughts and opinions.
Thanks :)

First of all, this sounds like 2 different request (Music in MP lobbies and recommendations). Normally request should be kept separate.

I know for sure that the recommendations is a duplicate (t/124407). Not so sure about the other one.

I think that the reason that you can't choose what you listen to is because you should be listening to what you are going to play. Even when you are playing single player, when you are in the song selection screen you only hear the map that you are going to play (the one that you clicked on as in you haven't selected it yet). The reason that the main menu has those options is because it is the main menu. It is the opening face of the game and it should change what music is being played so that it is different every time. There is no need for that randomness in a MP lobby

I don't think it's a good idea since the point is you must listen to the music of the currently selected beatmap but I suppose this can be done by having a room role of allowing a user to select a beatmap (aside from the host itself), which has been requested before.

This is just one request. You can /np anywhere(right?). I'm saying this idea will allow players to /np the song they want from this idea.

alright, I see that. Even so, my reasoning below it still stands for itself

When you are in single player song select, the song you click on is heard right? This is currently what's happening in mp as well, the selected song is heard. I don't see why this should be changed. If people want to recommend songs, they can link the map from the site/ask for host/ask the host to play it

I know that there is another thread for the first request. I've seen it before, I just can't find it. ._.;
It's probably sitting in Completed Requests because it is pretty invalid. You're playing multiplayer for a reason, listen to the provided song.

As for the second request, just support this.
