Hear me out!
I think it would be a great idea to completely remove the total accuracy of accounts. The reason my ACC is 99.99% is because I play around 2.5* - 3.5* songs when I could be doing 4* - 5* songs, the only thing that's keeping me from doing harder songs is my worry about keeping my ACC, to many others it may be just as distracting. Considering the overall accuracy of each account barely affects the ranking system it shouldn't be a major issue if it was just suddenly gone.

Pros:
- People would be more inclined to do harder songs and push their limits.
- It wouldn't affect the ranking system.
- It may bring users together in a more cooperative way.

Cons:
- There would be no overall profile accuracy.

(Please keep in mind that what I'm talking about removing is the overall profile accuracy and not the individual song accuracy, the accuracy for each song would still be counted but only shown for that individual song.)

No. If you know that your overall accuracy is preventing you from doing harder levels, don;t look at it. Besides, it will go back up as you progress and start doing better on the harder maps.

I enjoy having it because it shows my progression. If I start doing harder maps it will go down as I learn how to complete them. Then it raises again as I start to master them

As your accuracy is no longer 99.99%, I believe your request is invalid. In other words, no. If you know that your overall accuracy is preventing you from doing harder levels, don;t look at it. Besides, it will go back up as you progress and start doing better on the harder maps
My ACC is still 99.99% for The osu! game mode. And yes, i fully agree but then whats the point of even having it be there? It just seems like a distracting feature to me.

I played CtB last it might've shown my ACC for that. No worries.

Well, accuracy is weighted like pp
If you were to play Big Black, and get 30%, your accuracy will likely not drop, since it's such a bad score pp-wise

That's also true. So most likely if you start to play harder and harder maps, the pp that you gain from them won't even effect your overall acc anyways until you start to get better at them. In which case you can start getting higher accuracy on them anyways

Well You aren't wrong... I know that the top 100 scores are only counted toward the Overall Accuracy. it was just a theoretical thought though. However it wouldn't change anything if it was removed.

I honestly don't want it removed, I like it actually

well, the problem lies in you, not in accuracy itself, not to mention that accuracy is vital in a rhythm game

Why do you see so much importance in that stat in the first place? Is it because when you started you had a really low accuracy and just getting it up to 99.99% was an achievement and you don't want to see it drop again? If that is the case, I along with many others can tell you that it is very rare that your accuracy will ever take a significant hit. I started playing with like 60% acc. Then I started playing harder songs and my accuracy only got better as I improved and it is continuing to go upwards.

Besides, you are probably going to get bored at some point playing hella easy maps. Where will you go then. You just going to quit playing? Then this change makes no difference in the long run. I say it stays

This sounds like a personal matter tbh, but anyway...
I'm just gonna tell you that the value you want so much removed is actually there for the exact opposite purpose this feature aims to.

i had like 88% accuracy when i was rank 20k, i still tried my hardest to improve.
who cares about your overall accuracy honestly. theres a few morons here and there that like to shit on you for it, but it really doesnt matter.
