so i created a skin, and the comboburst files and the cursortrail files aren't working, i disabled combobursts in the game itself, and forced the game to use my skin elements, here's a video (the cursor trail changes from white to pink blocks, and theres are bursts of pink blocks on the side of the screen)

The cursor trail looks normal?
Anyways, make star2.png a transparent 1x1 images (or star.png, one of them are those pink blocks, the other one is the one used for difficulty stars) to make it not appear

replacing the star files fixed both the problems, tyvm
Do you still have any issues, or has it been solved now?
