I am divided by this idea. At one side I see that it could offer people ACTUAL good skins and not these sordid skin some top tier players use. But then again: How sure can we be if they like it at all? I'm not sure if it's worth to put five skins - which takes extra space - just to unsatisfy the user because he can't play with them or dislikes them.

We used to have the function to download skins via client but it had a pretty limited variation of 2008-2009 skins - which are all outdated due skin behaviour changes. If necessary, lead people to the Skinning Forum - most users find it anyways.

At least of the least, add a higher definition of default skin and even simplier version of default skin would do.

I agree with Stefan
Pros:
-Allows for more users to get better skins
-The default hitsounds are a pain in the ass (esp the normal-sliderwhistle/normal-hitwhistle/normal-hitnormal
Cons:
-No Longer Authentic
-Who picks these skins, and which ones are added
-People will only use 1 skin, why give them multiples

I have some more (rather unimportant) doubts and concerns (and positive points as well) about this, but ah well
I just wish the old osu!me Extra-downloads came back...

When in doubt, ask the community: a poll regarding this could be made if it ever gets implemented imo.
Hitsounds are fine as they are tho and tbh I don't like ping-pong sounds so much (but my opinion is the one of a mapper, not a player, so probably I'm part of a minority lol)

It does seem like the installer will have bloated file size for downloading due to the skins and could be a concern for people with slower connections but it would be nice for the new players to explore the pre-installed skins and find more in the Skinning forum if they please.

If any skins will be added they have to be very carefully selected.
I agree with Stefan that it doesn't make any sense to provide Skins that are set on specific setting like full transparent skins that actually NEED 100% background dim to be somewhat playable. The skins should also provide elements for every graphic and I also agree with what MrSergio said on hitsounds in a way.
It should only be a handful to get people interested in skinning and its possibilities.
Right now it's more like: Get into the game, download the skin of some 1-digit player because the defaultskin is a bit weird for 5* maps and ye, that's it. Would be good to have some alternatives from the start.

I think this idea is good in moderation. There should be "Elite Skins" that users have created that are up and above the "normal", as in not those skins that are designed to be played with 100% dim, only aimed for one mode, and filled with anime girls. I think it would be cool for those new players to be able to experience the unique skins.
