I'd like to request this because:
When I'm playing Standard, I wear a headset to not hear the clicking sounds of my keyboard and concentrate on the hitsounds. Offset 0ms, obviously.
When I'm playing Mania, I play with the speakers because I want the clicking sound to be my hitsounds. Therefore I mute the effect sounds and choose an offset of about -60ms to compensate the input lag of the keyboard so the clicks exactly match the notes.
If there would be different offsets for the game modes I wouldn't have to change the offset all the time!
