Some people like me, disconnect constantly or randomly because of par-level internet and the chat log ends up lost, meaning you constantly have to ask others what they said last so you know what to say when you continue the conversation. Is it possible just to save and load the chat logs at start-up/connection? This means that if you disconnect, the chat log will still be displayed as if you never disconnected or left in the first place. What I mean is: The Chat log is autosaved in every post, but when you clear it manually the file is deleted for that tab of chat. After the usual number of posts before the end from approx. 2 hours ago, maybe more, the user is prompted to clear the chat, not have the oldest posts for that window cut off from the log.
Second of all, make this optional in the case that people don't want this, I don't know why, there's just going to be some whiny bitch who doesn't want it. I use XChat for networks other than osu!Bancho and they've always loaded the log(s) from before.
This is nothing short or more of an idea than it is, and I don't see how it would be a problem.
