In desperate need of Taiko maps (:

My rank progress has come to a grinding halt due to the amount of low quality beat maps that are available for me to download under "Recommended Difficulty."

It'd be greatly appreciated if y'all help supply me with GOOD QUALITY maps with difficulties that range from 4.7 - 5.1 (: (So, no random streams from OzzyOzrock, overuse of 1/6 from tasuke912, or overall awkward mapping from Loctav.)

Thanks m8s

thank me later, you can't judge a map by the name of the author. You gotta play it at least once.

those are random streams for you ? HAHA man you better prepare yourself if you stick to this mode 8-) you might change your mind later about the word "random", you've seen nothing yet

Lol those streams actually make perfect sense from a mapping standpoint, and actually make the maps more fun.

Play more

sure there are many bad maps out there but i think you are judging to fast.

whats your definition of 'Random Stream'
i only looked at the one you mentioned at 0:53:26 of Happy Sorry Tai-Kon
it's simplying fading into the kiai there and if you listen to the song you should know why theres the stream, so i dont really get what you call 'Random Stream'

Sure Tasuke uses many 1/6, but not on every Map. i pretty like the usage on the map 'Routing' tbh, they are simply no PP-Maps thats all.
I havnt mentioned Ozzy as a 'Streamy' Mapper and i wouldnt say that he is randomly using them.
And even Loctav's Maps aren't all Shit like you said.

But everyone has his own opinion about Maps.

yeh lol for what make easir pattern, pp? lol. Play more[2]

Ozzy, not random.. just increasing or something like that, maybe differ emphasize map. people mostly make map with consistency, but maybe Ozzy trying map to follow strong as his feels `L_ aa... Increasing pattern, but about variation idk.. randomness I guess there have but rarely *maybe had wow follow sound. so thats like randomness, but nope.. it still readable* `L (?) xd

1/6 on tasuke map? lol its song.. comeon I cant play his map tbh ;w; but ok nice

and Loctav, is not bad Imo this beautiful Loctav maps ;w; I just think he mapped bcus of song.. interested of song, and sick or unique things is.. Unrankable things on his map, Idk how that but I guess he trying make rankable.. with explaninationttotn. rip engrish

btw, it depends of song ;w;
good mapper = good choice song (idk with this words.. nub me)

if you want a real random pattern map, play Raiden maps.. easir/comfort map? Lepidon maps..

Okay, so, yes yes, the streams make sense. I guess it would be more accurate to say that it's inconsistent. Ozzy overall isn't a bad mapper or anywhere near one, it's just... eh I don't like them very much.

1/6 in tasuke is too often for me in all honesty, yes maybe [probably] it is cuz I'm not used to using 1/6 every 20 seconds like other people in the community.

Loctav is a great mapper in almost everything but taiko... I'm sorry but his there's an amount of his maps that are not at all playable to me, I've completely refrained from touching a single Loctav Taiko Difficulty at this point. I will not deny that there are probably great taiko maps by Loctav out there, I'm just yet to come across one. Most of the ones I've played are really, really awkward for me to play. :3

My favorite mapper would be Climbb (And Kana), for the vast majority, his maps are consistent and to me, fun (:

Ozzy, tasuke912, and Loctav are great mappers don't get me wrong, they're just not my favorite, lol.

How would you know when you don't really play other gamemodes? \:

I'd recommend you to
a) give mapping a shot yourself to build some respect for people's work and an understanding for how a map is structured etc.
b) not use the "recommended difficulty" thing of the website - it's based on star diff and star diff in Taiko is kinda meh.

If you want to farm pp you can try using osu!trainer to get easy pp maps and if you want to get better and develop into an overall great Taiko player I'd suggest you to associate with other people and playing all different kind of maps that you get through word of mouth without looking at star difficulty and pp too much.
For bulk-download of ranked Taiko maps you can check here: t/330552
That being said due to the kinda small amount of Taiko BN/QAT there is probably a good amount of decent unranked Taiko maps out there you may want to look out for as well.

Not to be smartass, I used to play every game mode equally. I've seen Loctav's standard maps, and his taiko maps, and I've probably played some of his mania and catch the beat maps (through the auto thing and small amounts of experience)

Also, I've mapped taiko plenty of times so I know how it works, lol.

Hmmm but dont forget that Climbbs Maps in total are pretty Easy compared to the Starrating.
Same goes for Ozzy's Maps i think they are pretty similar. (i like both btw)
Lepidon's Maps are more Mixed in case of Difficulty.
Loctavs Maps shouldnt be that hard if you can play High BPM (most of them are pretty fast and underrated, but i personally dont like the songs he uses)
Tasuke's maps in total (not all) are pretty diffcult compared to the Starrating.

You just cant compare them with the Starrating.
A 5 Star Tasuke Map is more difficult than a 5 Star Climbb.
Thats because of their personal Mappingtechniques.

But you wont come far if you wont play that more difficult ones.
May you should play more different Maps, i mean about 200 Maps played arent that much.

If you want to play easy Farmmaps then try:
- Avalon (Firce777)
- Hades: The Rise
- Installation
- Future is Undefined
- Helvetios

but consider none of them is really representing the Starrating cause nearly all other maps with similar rating are more difficult.
For Example: Routing - Inner Oni (4,66 Stars) is 10 times more diffcult than any other map i mentioned before

Yes I do suppose and have noticed that star diff. has always been a little funky and inaccurate, and yes I have indeed noticed the vast differences between Cilmbb, Ozzy, tasuke, and Loctav.

Climbb's maps, although farmmaps, to me are just fun. Sticking to 1/4 is probably my absolute favorite thing in taiko maps (but 1/6 is still very beneficial to mapping as a whole) and the maps at this stage help my endurance. For instance, Unhappy Refrain (5.19) is probably no where near 5.19 star, probably more of a 4.9-5.0 rating. But the patters and tempo really just encourage endurance for me (:

I do agree with your statements, and I do acknowledge that to get much better, I don't really have the option to be picky.

anima is above 6 stars and it's easier than some <5 star maps

I'm not bashing you for discussing mapping, I'm just pointing out that pretty much every mapper you are discussing has much more experience than you, especially in different/alternative mapping styles.

Yes it is apparent that they have more success and experience with mapping (nor did I EVER imply my mapping skills are better than any of them, so next time don't put words in my mouth), however it is not exactly fair judgement to assume I don't understand the way a Taiko map works because my maps aren't successful. Plus, they're both incomplete. It isn't exactly easy for a map to get noticed, and especially when I have 0 kudosu. I do understand the way most Taiko maps work-it's a realtively weak argument to base it on the beatmaps that are unranked.

Especially when most experience comes from playing the game as oppose to mapping. You won't know how to map unless you have some kind of example to go off of. Play the map in the graveyard, Sekishinsei: Kamatoto Araryouji, you'll see it's relatively similar to Climbb & Kana maps.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never implied or said my maps or skills were superior to any of them. I merely pointed out that they were not my preferences when it comes to "Taikoing." -_-

Ozzys maps are characterized by the increasing difficulty lol, they progressively harder as the song progresses (generally speaking)
