Getting rid of cursor trails completely

Hello

So when there is a cursor I like and it has a trail on it, I'll go to delete the cursor trail file, then reload osu. But when I actually move the cursor around the trail has just been replaced with the default trail. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?

Use a blank 1x1 pixel file. Deleting any files just loads the ones from the default skin.
