not going to defend that map, it has clear different snapping usage and bpm with this set anyway so its fine

anyway good luck!
Nerova Riuz GX
wow kool
basically my shit was made of kick sliders just because i cant do jumps well so w/e they are still shit

but if you get into the expressions they are both fine, after all comparing two different style of intentions is quite weird and useless

2016-07-21 11:05 Fresh Chicken: o.o
2016-07-21 11:06 Side: hey do you have a second or two? I already showed you the map but I still have a few concerns

2016-07-21 11:07 Fresh Chicken: What do you mean about second or two?
2016-07-21 11:07 Side: so I asked a few (and by a few I mean probably half the mania bns and blocko) but so far it's very mixed whether the 1/8 is considered rankable or not
2016-07-21 11:07 Side: I just wanna double check your opinion on the diff
2016-07-21 11:08 Side: not like mod or anything

2016-07-21 11:11 Fresh Chicken: hahahaha kinda hard because I just woke up and it's my first play
2016-07-21 11:11 Fresh Chicken: Patterns are fine overall, but SV is too unreadable
2016-07-21 11:11 Fresh Chicken: It's my opinion
2016-07-21 11:12 Side: nice
2016-07-21 11:12 Side: so the weird thing though is
2016-07-21 11:12 Side: so far half the bns I asked say the map is okay and makes sense but the others say it's not rankable cuz it can be considered a dump
2016-07-21 11:13 Side: then I asked kamikaze and he said it's not a dump it's a semi dump and I'm like wtf is that xd
2016-07-21 11:13 Fresh Chicken: yeah it's semi dump
2016-07-21 11:13 Fresh Chicken: Real dump is

2016-07-21 11:14 Side: anyway another interesting thing is
2016-07-21 11:14 Side: the ppl that have said it's unrankable said I should still try to push this forward
2016-07-21 11:14 Side: because something like this might bring change to o!mania
2016-07-21 11:14 Side: idk how but I'd wanna try that if possible xd
2016-07-21 11:15 Fresh Chicken: Actually there's some ghost notes in dump
2016-07-21 11:15 Fresh Chicken: that's why people are saying it's unranlable
2016-07-21 11:15 Fresh Chicken: *unrankable

2016-07-21 11:16 Side: which would be the ghost notes?

2016-07-21 11:18 Side: when I asked harbyter he said the 1/8 makes sense and for 00:54:294 (54294|1,54336|0) - these 1/8 in that same sound
2016-07-21 11:18 Side: cuz when I listen to it in 1/8 I can kinda see why the 1/8 makes sense for the way those wubs sound
2016-07-21 11:19 Fresh Chicken: hmm I don't know about Harby's suggestion but I don't think that's acceptable
2016-07-21 11:19 Side: what's kind of annoying is everyone has an interesting opinion but no one wants to post in the thread about it ;-;
2016-07-21 11:19 Fresh Chicken: lel
2016-07-21 11:20 Side: well I don't wanna ask you to mod it if you don't want to but could you help us out by posting some opinions on that in the thread? that way I can force the other bns to also do the same xd

Olla, a few points at 'Yump' (whatever that means lol)
  1. 00:12:286 (4,1,2) - As you might've realized, those 3/4-gaps are incredibly unintuitive to play, so it would be nice to do everything you can to make them easier to grasp for the player - spacing them the same as a 1/2-gap right before that certainly doesn't help in this case ^^ I personally like stacking things like that very much, because the player recognizes that as something special, and thus is more alarmed to expect special rhythms, also it basically forces them to read the approach circle, which is very helpful in this case. In general I find stacks very fitting for this part of the song as there's a lot of repeating-the-same-note-again, and stacks would express that fairly well imo ^^ Funnily enough, you only start using stacks when there is much more happening in the music already, that seems kinda backwards to me - Point is, it ofc doesn't have to be stacks, but some sort of characteristic that differentiates 3/4s from 1/2s would be nice
  2. While the general aesthetic concept seems lacking to me, which isn't easy to teach or point out, there are many places where at least those slight overlaps seem really random, starting already at 00:11:612 (2,1) and for example 01:15:825 (1,4,5) -, or 00:34:027 (1,4,5) where autostacking's has apparently not been considered, but overall it's just a feeling of not recognizing any patterns at all and feeling like notes have been placed somewhere simply bc that probably plays good, there should be more thought behind that which is currently at least not expressed well :/
  3. Spacing seems rather imbalanced in a lot of places where the song is approximately doing the same but emphasis is entirely different, prime example for me is 00:56:949 (1,2,3) - and basically all patterns like 00:54:252 (1,2) in relation to 00:55:263 (5,6) -, I can't spot anything special on the (6)s but they are always jumps as huge as the ones onto snares, which thus doesn't really deliver any feel of "ah, certain beats are emphasized" but simply "this part has big jumps and this one has small jumps but I don't really see why"
Sorry for not going in to more detail but I'm not really interested in this map, this was just to hopefully give you some insight as to why that is

Side
Thanks for the suggestions Bonzi :v

I did apply the first one regarding the 3/4 rhythms in the beginning section since it was a bit unintuitive. Also added a 1/4 note before the sliders of 00:13:044 (3) - and 00:18:438 (3) - so that the doubles rhythm is better introduced early in this quiet section. I did also change 00:12:454 (1) - so the spacing is more intuitive.

Regarding the other points however, as lame as this may sound, I just really don't see much reason to map that otherwise. There may be a few minor overlaps that are usually hardly visible in gameplay and also require remapping whole patterns just to address and I don't think that's worth it considering everything in the map [now] plays very intuitively. As for the jumps in the first kiai it's actually pretty consistently structured. The jump to (2) is always 1.1x snapped, then the next two jumps are slight buildup leading into the last two big jumps starting after the kick and clap such as 00:55:095 (4) - 00:55:263 (5) - and regarding the whole emphasis deal, it does have a basis as explained above and it's certainly not overdone (not moreso than other overly-inflated PP jump maps imo) and as a bonus, they look pretty in the editor which is what ppl seem to care about nowadays :^)

Anyway thanks for the mod! I appreciate the quick check even without me asking for it. Wish more BNs did that tbh!

i can get off to this
Critical_Star
as requested from Side

puxtu's MX
00:54:294 (54294|1,54336|0,54378|3) - i think these are ghost note or is just an echo sound, the clearer 1/8 sound start at 00:54:421 -
00:55:643 (55643|0,55685|2,55727|1) - and so on for all these similiar part^
01:14:814 (74814|3,74814|0,75319|2,75319|0) - can't really hear a clear sound here, i think remove this double note better
01:46:162 (106162|0,106204|1,106246|2,106289|3,106331|0,106373|1,106415|2,106457|3) - these actually are not 1/8 sound, is just having a short long sound here only, i don't think this would fit to the sound here, use 1/4 to empyhsize the kick sound better here

rest look fine, maybe only these concern ;)
puxtu
it's a dump map, ofcourse there will be a lot of ghost notes. That's the main idea

I've been talking with a lot of mania BNs and QATs about the usage of 1/8 in Puxtu's MX diff.

Below are a few savelogs regarding the diff.

Harbyter
18:40 Harbyter: puxtu just need to remove some 1/8
18:40 Harbyter: 00:54:252 -
18:40 Harbyter: for example
18:40 Harbyter: 00:54:294 (54294|1,54336|0) -
18:40 Harbyter: those one
18:40 Harbyter: if you remove those
18:40 Harbyter: the remaining 1/8 suits pretty well for that strange sound
18:41 Harbyter: 00:55:643 (55643|0,55685|2) - same removing those etc etc
18:41 Side: hmm yeah maybe that's it
18:42 Side: so just for those kind of sounds then remove those 1/8 right?
18:42 Harbyter: the initial two 1/8
18:43 Harbyter: before every sound like that

-Kamikaze-
12:51 -Kamikaze-: yeah this is an edge case
12:51 -Kamikaze-: it's what some people like to call a semi-dump
12:52 -Kamikaze-: so an exaggerated chart
12:52 -Kamikaze-: musiaclly speaking
12:52 -Kamikaze-: it can't be called overmapped, but it can't be called technically correct as well
12:52 -Kamikaze-: that's why it's a semi-dump
12:53 Side: hmm okay
12:53 -Kamikaze-: it follows music, it just exaggerates it

Blocko
18:35 Blocko: oh right
18:35 Blocko: i just thought of something
18:35 Blocko: this is basically a dump map
18:35 Blocko: and dump maps are unrankable in mania
18:35 Blocko: lmao
18:35 Side: LOL nice
18:36 Blocko: yeah i'm leaning towards a no here

Blocko (2)
00:14 Blocko: sorry you're so back and forth on the mania side for now
00:14 Blocko: hehe geddit cuz i used your name
00:14 Blocko: haha
00:14 Blocko: ha
00:14 Blocko: side
00:14 Blocko: ekoro
00:14 Side: :ekoro:
00:16 Side: I don't wanna remove the diff cuz I still think they make sense considering how the wub sounds but mostly I wish bns would post the things they told me instead of telling me to ask someone else xd
00:18 Blocko: that's the thing
00:18 Blocko: they make sense'
00:18 Blocko: 'sense'
00:18 Blocko: that's why we're all so unsure about it
00:18 Side: ;A;
00:23 Blocko: JUST
00:25 Side: 1 2 3 4 5 6 DO IT

Feerum
08:13 Feerum: So where the ghost
08:13 Feerum: s
08:13 Side: pretty much starting from 00:53:746 -
08:13 Feerum: Oh
08:13 Feerum: just saw it
08:16 Feerum: Okay this is a scenario i never saw before
08:16 Side: :o
08:17 Side: imo the 1/8 makes sense. the HD also does it sort of but not as intense
08:18 Feerum: Hm..
08:22 Feerum: When i had to decide
08:22 Feerum: And this is only my opinion
08:22 Feerum: No,not rankable
08:22 Side: D:
08:22 Feerum: This is simply too much
08:22 Feerum: you can try it
08:23 Feerum: But when it's get dq'ed
08:23 Feerum: you have to live with it
08:23 Side: well I want to avoid that if possible thats why I was asking other bns too
08:23 Feerum: a dq is still nothing bad
08:24 Side: I asked ajeemaniz and fresh chicken they said it was rankable but when evening said it and he's pretty high ranked I just wanted to confirm
08:30 Feerum: i really can't judge it.. i would say the hd is okay.. but it's actually the same like MX with less notes
08:32 Feerum: The best way
08:32 Feerum: would bne
08:32 Feerum: Get it qualified how it is
08:32 Feerum: Then we get the judge by the community and the QAT, if you can pass it we will have a reference for further maps
08:32 Feerum: If not, also
08:33 Feerum: We will know this is not possible
08:33 Feerum: this is my honest opinion to this.

Evening
08:33 Evening: well it's really subjective at this point if the ghost notes are allowed lol
08:33 Evening: you might want to ask blocko for opinions instead
08:33 Side: yeah I was thinking that because some bns say its okay some say nope
08:33 Evening: hmm
08:34 Side: but what I heard from a few bns is that a good way to find out if its okay is to qualify it this way and then see what the community and every other bns/qats think about it
08:34 Side: anyway feerum and ajee said that
08:34 Evening: yea that is one way
08:35 Evening: well it should be okay for the community
08:37 Evening: anyways i'm all for the map being ranked as a player but i'm not too sure as a nominator haha

Ajeemaniz
23:09 ajeemaniz: his map is impressive when he map electronic song
23:10 Side: this ones pretty interesting too. good use of sv and 1/8
23:19 *ajeemaniz is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/996693 USAO - Showdown]
23:19 ajeemaniz: except the monotone (rather, almost everywhere's wub) pattern, MX diff is superb
23:19 ajeemaniz: not sure if i notice a mistake
23:20 Side: nice

ZZHBOY
09:29 ZZHBOY: i don't like that map
09:30 Side: ...did you even look at it? lol
09:30 Side: well do you at least think is rankable?
09:30 ZZHBOY: maybe some bn like it
09:30 Side: not asking for a mod I just wanna know if its rankable
09:31 Side: and only the MX diff b/c it uses 1/8
09:32 ZZHBOY: i don't think those 1/8 fit the music well
09:32 Side: all the 1/8 or just some?
09:33 ZZHBOY: music don't has clear 1/8 sound
09:34 ZZHBOY: it';s a little overdone imo
09:39 Side: my opinion I think the 1/8 in puxtu's MX fit because the wubs have like segmented sounds
09:39 Side: maybe not clear 1/8 but it can make sense I think
09:42 ZZHBOY: if he want to keep that
09:42 ZZHBOY: they plays not bad tbh
09:42 ZZHBOY: but really overdone
09:43 Side: okay I'll let him know
09:43 Side: thanks again :)

Kawawa
09:45 Side: hey kawa sorry to bother but I have a quick mania 4k question ;v
09:45 Kawawa: haii
09:46 Kawawa: what's your question?
09:46 Side: I have a hybrid set with 4k GDs but atm I'm having issues with the MX. Some BNs say is rankable some say is not
09:46 Side: Could you check to see what u think of it?
09:46 Side: not a mod just opinion
09:46 *Side is listening to [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/964130 USAO - Showdown]
09:49 Kawawa: I can't post. I'm so sorry.
09:50 Kawawa: but can be ranked when I saw these patterns simply
09:51 Kawawa: If there's logic for expression, then anything can.
09:51 Kawawa: don't worry.
09:52 Kawawa: 00:54:294 (54294|1,54336|0,54378|3) - remove is better for sure. like these things
09:53 Side: harby said the same xd
09:53 Kawawa: yeah.
09:53 Kawawa: that's all. just remove some unsure notes
09:53 Kawawa: or replace as LNs

There were a few others but I forgot to savelog. Most BNs seem to be okay with the diff overall however the biggest question mark seems to be 00:54:294 (54294|1,54336|0,54378|3) which, unlike the other wubs, doesn't have a that rolling growl that can be represented with the 1/8 notes. Personally I have no issues with this diff and based on what QAT have been saying it's kind of a gray area so the best thing to do would be to push the diff forward in order to gather more community feedback which should also help bring clarity to similar situations in the future.

I do however feel that the suggestions mentioned by Harbyter, Kawawa and Critical Star are very reasonable so I would highly suggest considering them as that seems to be the only thing people are mentioning as "questionable" outside the other 1/8s.

Finally, @Puxtu please do not completely disregard some of the feedback given to you. The replies you gave to ajee and CS are unnecessary and do not address the concerns they raised (valid or not), I'm not asking you to apply the changes but at least provide reasoning because those replies do not help me push the set forward any faster.

  1. 00:17:511 (4) - follow the sound on 00:17:595 - ? I could but I'd have to change the patterns a lot and I prefer this jump more tbh. Also I would have to change it also for 00:20:207 (3,4) - which doesn't seem to fit imo
  2. 01:20:881 (1,2,1) - the spacing are very easy to read to 1/2 Changed pattern to fix this. I will miss that so much ;-;
  3. 01:22:230 (1,2) - ctrl+g both? smooth flow is better I see what you mean but at the same time I think it makes the flow a bit worse for 01:22:398 (2,1) - since the jump to (1) becomes a bit unintuitive vs how it is now.
  4. 01:46:836 (1,1) - how about change both to triple reverse Didn't do this exactly but I did change it to a triple pattern
[Normal]
  1. 01:52:819 (3) - start at 01:52:735 - , easier rhythm will work better on normal It sounds really weird there since the sound on the blue tick gets ignored like that. I get it might simplify the rhythm for the normal but I think the OD and slider head are lenient enough that it won't be a problem to players. If this truly will be an issue I am willing to change though.
Thanks for the mod!! :)

-volume control? are you going to use 50% on everywhere? ;w;
-00:51:893 (5) - mayb nc dis
-00:26:696 - add a note? thats what you did on 00:15:909 (5) - or 00:23:999 (5) -
-00:28:297 - you could add a note at 00:28:297 - and decrease spacing between 1 and 2 to make it easier i think
-00:30:825 (4) - put this beneath 00:30:488 (3) - mayb? idk or put 00:30:488 (3) - on top of 00:30:825 (4) -
-01:10:937 (2,3,4,5) - this flow is kinda killer, you used sharp angles at 01:10:937 (2,3,4) - yet on here 01:11:106 (3,4,5) - its a rooftop pattern, and i personally dont believe it goes well with the song, too. but its just my opinion, your opinion might differ so w/e
-01:14:140 (1,2,3,4) - i believe you dont need streams here as they are barely audible and not prominent compared to other instrument, 1/4 sliders would be better in my opinion.
-01:20:881 (1) - i believe this slider could be a little slower but up to you. if you decide to slow the slider down, decrease the spacing between the slider and the note a little bit.
-01:21:893 (1) - i think this one fits better as a single circle instead of 1/4 slider
-01:39:252 (2,3,4,5,6) - again kinda weird flow that i dont particularly agree with, the angle you used here 01:39:252 (2,3,4) - is quite low even though sound at 01:39:589 (4) - is in my opinion quite strong to be used a high angling, same goes with 01:39:589 (4,5,6) - but its to a lesser degree since the angling is little less linear.
-01:42:117 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - this isnt really bad or anything but maybe try something like this
-01:43:466 (3,4,5,6) - again 01:43:466 (3,4,5) - is kinda too linear compared to how strong sound at 01:43:803 - is
-01:47:848 (1,2,1) - i wonder if you could place them closer to eachother, something like this!
-01:49:364 (5,1) - spacing is kinda too high for calmer section i think

  1. I don't think AR9.3 is needed. The difficulty isn't too hard actually and with a smaller CS everything gets really, well, confusing with this type of AR.
  2. The MP3/song itself is actually really loud, in the intro too. I found that most of the times, the hit-normal was pretty hard to hear on 50%. You might want to do something about that.
  3. 00:21:893 (1,2,3) - This [section] was really confusing when I played this for a few reasons. So, there's an ongoing clap pattern going on, along with a new vocal track. These are really prominent and stand out above, pretty much anything else - including the beep sounds you are following (00:32:679 (1) - wasn't a problem, because that track stood out above anything else). Having all these stacks and completely ignoring the tone & mood change didn't feel to comfortable to me. If you do want to follow the beeps only, try incorporating sliders instead. This way, it's much easier to get hold of the new rhythm & tone change, while the main emphasis being on the beeps.
  4. What bugged me in the KIAI, was that 00:54:758 (2,3,4,5,6) - and 01:05:544 (2,3,4,5,6) - , for example, are really similar in spacing. While the second one having much louder sounds on 1/2. If you're mapping pp (or any type of map for that matter tbh), please try to achieve optimal emphasis for the instruments.
  5. 01:20:881 (1,1) - Knowing you, I was pretty surprised to see this 1/8 skipped (expected like reverse or something...)
  6. 01:47:848 (1,2) - Would prefer if you removed one repeat here, to make the hitwindow a bit more doable for the player. (you did use 1/8 here!!!)
  7. 01:55:263 (2) - Seeing how you constructed the rhythm in this difficulty overall, I expected a slider starting on 01:55:516 - for the wub? Having such a strong sound offbeat is a bit strange to me anyways.
  8. While I think it could use a bit more polishing, the jumps are pretty fun lol.
Actually, I think I kinda like this song (i know shocker). Good luck!

-01:14:140 (1,2,3,4) - i believe you dont need streams here as they are barely audible and not prominent compared to other instrument, 1/4 sliders would be better in my opinion. But the stream follows the 5 note synth that plays like 00:30:994 (1,2,3,4,1) - ;-; spacing is cuz intensity
-01:20:881 (1) - i believe this slider could be a little slower but up to you. if you decide to slow the slider down, decrease the spacing between the slider and the note a little bit. Not digging the slow down but I did wanna change the pattern back to what I used to have :v
-01:21:893 (1) - i think this one fits better as a single circle instead of 1/4 slider It could but I'll just avoid that with the 1/4 slider so they don't yell at me about spacing and what not

-01:42:117 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - this isnt really bad or anything but maybe try something like this tbh that ones cool too but I'm too lazy to switch ;(
-01:43:466 (3,4,5,6) - again 01:43:466 (3,4,5) - is kinda too linear compared to how strong sound at 01:43:803 - is I like obtuse triangles :v
-01:47:848 (1,2,1) - i wonder if you could place them closer to eachother, something like this! the thing about that is that kinda makes it look like a 1/4 triple from how close the heads are. Pretty common in breakcore maps since they use that kinda rhythm a lot so I think that might be visually more confusing
-01:49:364 (5,1) - spacing is kinda too high for calmer section i think decreased slightly

  1. I don't think AR9.3 is needed. The difficulty isn't too hard actually and with a smaller CS everything gets really, well, confusing with this type of AR. Haven't heard other suggestions regarding the AR until now. I don't mind reducing or anything but I'll wait to get more feedback on it first.
  2. The MP3/song itself is actually really loud, in the intro too. I found that most of the times, the hit-normal was pretty hard to hear on 50%. You might want to do something about that. yeyeyeyeye fixing
  3. 00:21:893 (1,2,3) - This [section] was really confusing when I played this for a few reasons. So, there's an ongoing clap pattern going on, along with a new vocal track. This way, it's much easier to get hold of the new rhythm & tone change, while the main emphasis being on the beeps. I guess I shouldn't call this a PP map when I planned on having a reading section xd tbh most people haven't struggled with playing this and at most getting the hang of the 3/4 and doubles would take a retry or so. I did try to be sort of lenient and had a few tells on how the rhythm would turn out with patterns such as 00:12:454 (1,2) - 00:13:803 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - and 00:15:488 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - etc in the slow part before it. Spacing should also be distinguishable so the 3/4 pauses can be kinda gauged that way as well.
I'm not quite following. The intensity IS pretty similar. You can probably say that the second kiai does have a bit more emphasis cuz the 1/2 wub sounds start playing so I COULD have added more intensity. I didn't really plan on that because it's not something I considered as TOO important since to me the part where I wanted the intensity to show was in the 3rd and 4th kiai. Also another thing regarding the 2nd kiai is I do 1/2 stacks in certain parts so that does kill a lot of momentum vs in the 1st kiai there was no stacks and so it's a lot easier to move from note to note since you keep moving.
  5. 01:20:881 (1,1) - Knowing you, I was pretty surprised to see this 1/8 skipped (expected like reverse or something...) I know ;A; I really wanted to map this somehow but the only way I thought of doing this was changing 01:20:881 (1) - to a note and then a 1/8 kick slider but it didn't look as nice so what I did instead was this. It didn't play the 1/8 sound but it did add a lot of emphasis by having this weird 1/4 snap to (2) that plays a lot better than it looks! Some ppl complained though so I changed it but now that I think about it, I really want this back so I'll change it back to this. Not 1/8 still but maybe it can represent it somehow :v
  6. 01:47:848 (1,2) - Would prefer if you removed one repeat here, to make the hitwindow a bit more doable for the player. (you did use 1/8 here!!!) YEEEE 1/8!!!!! but it's not that hard to misplay. Most players shouldn't mess this up and even still I think this is a bit easier than a generic overspaced 9 note stream ending that most tv size maps like to end with so I'll just leave it this way ;)
  7. 01:55:263 (2) - Seeing how you constructed the rhythm in this difficulty overall, I expected a slider starting on 01:55:516 - for the wub? Having such a strong sound offbeat is a bit strange to me anyways. Not a bad idea and that's what N/A did on his too! I like how mine looks though so idk if it's too necessary to change
  8. While I think it could use a bit more polishing, the jumps are pretty fun lol. YUMPS!!!
Actually, I think I kinda like this song (i know shocker). Good luck! thx :D

  3. 01:37:398 (1) - You forgot some finish hitsound on slider head here.

[- - Hard - -]
  1. 00:31:836 (1) - Could you explain the overdone new combo here? It looks unnecessary imo, because you haven't done sth like SV change or super-complex sliders until 00:32:342 (1) - . Consider removing it.
  2. 00:56:612 (4,1) - Since you've did some small jumps on each similar track like on 00:55:432 (5,1) - or 00:58:128 (5,1) - , which is above ^1.3x, why not doing the same here for spacing consistency? Should've not kept that for blankets k
  3. 01:06:387 (1) - Speaking about rhythm compositions, you haven't done a reversed flowing alike on 01:09:084 (1,2) - or 01:11:780 (1,2) - . So perhaps a little change on this one should consist with the rest of it.

  2. 01:21:893 (2,3,4,5) - I assume this was the thing that made a big spike, increasing note density in order to balance star rating and difficulty spread ;p GJ lol :^) but nah the diff spikes up by like .1 at most iirc xd
  3. 01:37:398 (1) - You forgot some finish hitsound on slider head here. Woops!

[- - Hard - -]
  1. 00:31:836 (1) - Could you explain the overdone new combo here? It looks unnecessary imo, because you haven't done sth like SV change or super-complex sliders until 00:32:342 (1) - . Consider removing it. Well at first I planned on doing the NC here like I did in Yumps but since I didn't change SV there was no need and I forgot I wasn't gonna do it anymore xd. NC normalized. I'll keep 00:32:342 (1) - though b/c here I do change SVs
  2. 00:56:612 (4,1) - Since you've did some small jumps on each similar track like on 00:55:432 (5,1) - or 00:58:128 (5,1) - , which is above ^1.3x, why not doing the same here for spacing consistency? Should've not kept that for blankets k Probably could have done something different but not all is above 1.3x or has small jumps mostly due to aesthetics or patterns in this case. 00:58:971 (3,4,1) - 01:02:005 (4,1) - for example are both normal distance snap. I could make the jump a bit larger at least to match 1.5x but I think this plays well enough as it is.
  3. 01:06:387 (1) - Speaking about rhythm compositions, you haven't done a reversed flowing alike on 01:09:084 (1,2) - or 01:11:780 (1,2) - . So perhaps a little change on this one should consist with the rest of it. Well that wasn't intended here xd. Actually 01:05:713 (3,4,1) - this pattern better suits the music for example because the woob sound is the same pitch throughout and these three sliders are all going down in the same position (rotated to look nicer) while the other two don't exactly do that but do have copied sliders to look nice. so basically I think there it better represents the song but the other patterns are more about variety and one thing I've learned when mapping more and more is the more you try to overdo a visual pattern for the sake of consistency or to represent the music, the more boring the map becomes. Variety is good for keeping the map engaging as long as its not just random.
  4. 01:27:117 (3,1) - Not sure, but are you intending an overlap here? Looks really visible even in gameplay... at least to me. Yeah its slightly visible in gameplay. Not the most noticeable overlap though xd

Yumps is godd, poke me for rebubble/qualify thanks :v

Just a little things to say.
  • Black is Personal comments.
Bold Black is Highly recommended to fix.
Red is Unrankable that you should fix.

[Yumps]
  1. 01:11:106 (3,4,5) - Since it is a big obtuse angle, which is a bit difficult to play. So can you move 01:11:443 (5,6) - to other place? For example, see my screenshot.

Fixed the spacing concerns. Regarding Yumps I like that idea but I really like this diamond shape and while it's a little bit harder to play I think it should be fine.

Thanks! :D

It is because of the creator has been talked with mania bn and mania qat about the mania GDs and both have a enough quality. So I trust him to qualify the map. If someone has some feedback about mania GDs, please talk about it.

For anyone curious regarding my communication with the Mania BNs/QATs please refer to this post.

For the record, the parts that most BNs pointed out have been addressed already as their suggestions were all for the same section so if anyone has additional feedback please feel free to contribute.

Hi there, congratulations for being in qualification anyway but I still want to confirms something

First of all, I think offset is a little early than it should be
Would recomended this: 328 (+8)

(fix it before you apply any mods then, because my mod used new offset, I believe it's more accurate and easier to check snaps)

[Eedow's HD]
00:52:912 - so there are some snap conflict (or unsnapped notes on here I believe) http://puu.sh/r9FMr/96a2ef02bd.jpg
1. Follow puxtu's snap
2. If you remain follow that rrr voice, there is another snap would fit it
Snap (1/16) patterns depend on you
00:52:912 -
00:53:059 -
00:53:122 -
00:53:249 -
00:53:333 -
00:53:460 -

00:55:608 (55608|2) - thinking about this hmm, kinda not fit the rhythm well enough, for that, move it to something like this http://puu.sh/r9G9B/3f745c6d15.jpg would be very neat, it would fit the rhythm better than this fade hold (dubstep drr)
00:56:957 (56957|2) - same as this part, I don't know both parts are conflicted
00:58:305 (58305|2) -
00:59:653 (59653|2,59653|3) -
01:01:002 (61002|1,61002|3) -
01:02:350 (62350|3,62350|2) -
01:06:395 (66395|1,66395|3) -
(and the rest of them) (*)
00:59:148 (59148|1,59148|0,59316|0,59316|1) - would recomended to move one of them, suggestion: move 00:59:316 (59316|1) - to 3rd to present snare sound, 2 notes jacky here kinda weird in my opinion, also if you also argeed with it, move 00:59:485 (59485|2,59527|1) - to 21 for more balance
01:14:485 (74485|0,74990|2,74990|1,75496|3) - this one is very interested pattern but kinda not fit with this part, because the bass underground combined with instrument almost the same for 3 of them, but long notes usage are different, might to reconsider about this)
01:17:856 (77856|3,77856|2,78024|2,78024|3,78361|2,78361|3,78530|3,78530|2) - kinda weird to keep them like this, pitch is different on 01:18:530 -
01:28:979 (88979|1,89148|2,89190|1) - same as before
01:31:676 (91676|3,91676|0,91676|2,91844|1,91886|2,92013|3,92013|1) - might to reconsider this as well
01:32:013 (92013|1,92350|2,92350|1) - fix this along with that (*) I've mentioned
01:35:384 (95384|0) - wrong place. this instrument should be on 01:35:215 - and ends on 01:35:552 - along with that, add a note on 01:35:721 - for snare sound
01:42:799 (102799|3,102799|1,103136|2,103136|0,103136|1) - (*)
While the end is just fading away, you don't have to continue it, end the map on 01:58:979 - would be better

[puxtu's MX]
00:00:328 - to 00:21:901 - if this intro could follow pitch like Eedow's diff then it would be better
00:53:754 (53754|1,53797|0,53839|3,53881|2,53923|1,53965|0,54007|3,54049|2,54092|1) - kinda overdone, 1/8 on 00:53:754 - to 00:53:923 - would already enough, because the rest is unclear, the rest is 1/1 you can add a mini hold begins on 00:53:923 - to 00:54:260 - or just let it be blank
01:02:055 (62055|2) - this sound unclear, almost no sound at all
01:03:698 - add a note for cymbal sound, 2 notes like other are not enough
00:54:260 - 01:05:047 -
01:12:842 (72842|2) - same with this one too
01:12:842 (72842|2) - add a note on here for cymbal, if you argeed
01:26:620 - add one more note
01:32:392 (92392|3) - ghost note on here, no sound
01:36:058 - add a note for cymbal
01:37:406 - same
01:41:535 (101535|1) - ghost note, no sound here
01:45:622 (105622|2) - echo, never see you add this note on part have same sound like this
example: 01:45:622 (105622|2) -
01:46:297 (106297|3) - why clap sound is on here? remove
For that I would recomended to map the outro till 01:58:979 - just like HD's diff, keep it blank is such a waste

Take another looks at this please

puxtu wrote:

it's a dump map, ofcourse there will be a lot of ghost notes. That's the main idea
;D
dump or not, ghost notes never be allowed (some is fine but not a lot of them)
Please only add notes on where it had music, If not, better remain pending or graveyard, added a lot of ghost notes are just make it more weird

For me, dump maps would not really recomended, as they remain 50% of this map, something like HD's diff is good enough
Just personal, good luck then.

I've already addressed this with puxtu. While he was mostly memeing he ended up applying the mod.

Regarding the offset I haven't seen others say anything about it before. I'm not near my computer atm (will be in a few hours) so I'll check that out as soon as I can and edit this post

Edit: I checked the suggested offset but do not feel it's accurate. At most +2 seemed a bit closer while listening to it at 50% playback but beyond that it was much later. I'm not too sure if changing it would be so beneficial since I use -2 universal offset so uh....I think that cancels it out? lol not sure but even so being off by 1-2 ms isn't too noticeable in gameplay when the highest OD is 8.7 and the diff consists of mostly 1/2 single tapping.

If the BN(s) think the mania diffs are ready, why they don't just drop a mania icon here.

Any way, some feedback after i test-played this map. I didn't check KK's mod, so I'm sorry if I point out some thing that has been mention in KK's mod

[Eedow's HD]
00:32:342 (32342|1) - Is there any reason behind this LN which end at 1/4 line, or just random LN\
00:53:072 (53072|1,53157|0,53241|2,53325|1,53409|0) - random LN out of nowhere, they are so wrong if the short LNs are used for the unclear vocal (or its the offset's fault). Anyway the current ending/starting timing are wrong imo. Compare to puxtu's diff we can see the different timing of each note
00:53:915 (53915|0) - if this LN is for the fade in sound (i dont think there is any other sound u can follow), then should be start at 00:53:746 -
00:54:758 - this map (https://osu.ppy.sh/s/466552) just got dq-ed for the 1/8 Wubbing sounds and now we have another one, and I not gonna mention the ghost note which i believe had been point out quite a few in KK's mod and previous modders
01:00:994 (60994|1) - hmm... suddenly reduce the LN length, isnt the same sound as your previous pattern?
01:04:870 (64870|0,64912|1,64954|2,64996|3) - 100% ghost notes
01:06:387 (66387|1) -01:11:780 (71780|2) - as i mention above
01:14:477 (74477|0) - should end 01:14:814 - , and those 01:14:982 (74982|1,74982|2) - should end 01:15:319 - , 01:15:488 (75488|3) - here 01:15:825 - . if you listen carefully you will notice
01:24:505 - isnt same with 01:24:252 (84252|1,84294|0,84336|2,84378|3,84421|1,84463|0) -
01:35:081 (95081|3,95165|0,95249|3) - ghost note again
