You need staff to help you? If so send me a PM to my chat.

I have experience managing and moderating tournaments ^^
roufou
I'll win

don't let Ozzy join the only reason he's above 5k is because of rog-unlimitation

Unlike Yukarii, I don't really have any experience in this. Plus, it's pretty inconvenient for me since we have like half a day of time difference. I'd be happy to contribute to the beatmap selection though.

Any help is appreciated! That'd be wonderful. (:

Speaking of this on an earlier time.. I can be streamer/commentator, because if I am, then you only need one streamer. If the timing of the tournament starting causes an issue with my ability to stream then i will still ge happy to play in the tourney(If i'm even still >#1000).
ptar124
Haha, well then, just let me know when you start selecting your mappools, I'd love to do that.

That'd be great. I can try to get you the osu!tourney client. Not sure.

If you sign up with the osu! staff, they will get everyone on your staff the tournament client. FYI.

Also you should consider making this just 5k-1k, and even then, fringe ranks like rank 950 or rank 900 might feel really left out, so I think you should allow certain cases like that. But yeah, making 2 map pools and running 2 tournaments at the same time is way too ambitious. Please go smaller, and even then, try to find out if people even wanna participate before making too big of plans. We don't honestly have THAT many players in this range who are active and would like to play in a tournament. Two of the ones I would see participating are staff. I think you should probably re-think this to add South America or something too. The America's together would be a big bigger scale and you could realistically fill the tournament, but it's still a stretch.

Just some advice.

First off, nice player icon. Danganronpa was great.

Second, I definitely appreciate this input. I'm not worried about the two tournaments thing as you mentioned, but of course there is no problem with merging them together. My main focus with that parameter is that ranks near 5,000 don't end up with ranks near 1,000. And I do understand your point-players who are just out of the extent of rank parameters should be included.

Third, you hit it home with your point of player engagement. There are definitely at least 32 players within this range are active, but it is definitely not a bad idea to open it to South America as well. I was already thinking of doing so. The islands of the Caribbean would also be included. I want the maximum amount possible, 64 players.

I thank you for your advice, and ask that you check back later today as revises are made.

Good job on the changes, I think you can drum up a lot more interest with this now. Good luck, and if you need me to do anything for you, I am available. I want our friends and my taiko family to have a good time and be able to enjoy your tournament, and if you need a veteran like me to assist you with a lot of things like production, maps, advertising, and even refereeing, I can supply you with all of those things. You will want someone eventually who has experience running these things!
Niko-nyan
If you need some mappool selection or.tester, I will help ya and give some suggestion about it instead of choosing a bad map that getting an/some off beats.:)

Backfire has some experience and I already got some experience with him (especially LMS)..

Taikocracy, I highly recommend working with Backfire if you are thinking otherwise. The tournaments i've seen him run were great and fun to watch. Backfire really knows his stuff when it comes to running tournaments. As this your first time running a taiko tournament, you probably need the help.
We all want to have a good time running and playing in tournaments, especially considering taiko tournaments are very rare nowadays. I can help in any way I can as well as stream. I've run tournaments outside of osu. So I at least know the basics xD
ptar124
To prevent bad maps getting chosen, I'll send them for you to approve first as this is my first time being a touney staff :D (I mean, you should check and approve everybody's but take a little more time on mine so that no bad maps get through). I would assume that you want relatively recent maps with reasonable length and no bad random streams and BS chokes. Am I right? I haven't been playing 4 stars for quite some time but having a mod queue kinda helps me tell apart bad maps from good ones but still, I've never been a map selector before so keep an eye out for those. Finally, I'd like to say that I'm truly honored to be a tourney staff for this tournament and I'll do my best to help you!

P.S. Backfire's a cool guy, I'm sure he can help out a lot with this tournament you have going on. He definitely knows what he's doing most of the time so trust him on stuffs he tell you!
ptar124
Awww, that's sad, I'll just stalk you and spectate form now on. XD
