Details
I always wanted to create a long map, so thats it, this is Autotheist Movements
I listen to these songs/ this album for more than 1 year now and I have realized that The Faceless is actually one of the most perfect band for my actual mapping style. Took me +/- 10 days to create (from the mp3 creation to the final day of mapping). The timing part wasn't really tricky tbh.
The combination of all Authotheist Movements make a really complete and varied 18 mins of technical death metal piece :

Autotheist Movement I: Create (3:44 mins) : The song start with a long piano and instrumental intro, then it's a just a 105 BPM map with some LN. Not really hard at all, can maybe be boring.
Autotheist Movement II: Emancipate (7:20 mins) : This is the longuest part with mostly 210 BPM jumpstream, but a lot of guitar solos and calm parts too.
Autotheist Movement III: Deconsecrate (6:39 mins) : My favourite of all of them, really powerful parts contrast with the jazzy disturbing ones. The song start with an Organ part and rise more and more until the 220 BPM jumpstream parts.

The overall create a challenging map, but it's far from top level tier since it's only 220 BPM jumpstream/handstream for the most tricky parts.

[General]
- Timing/hitsounding/metadata etc all seems great.
- The preview point, uhhhh... I know this is entirely subjective and all, but it put me off slightly. Maybe if you had it somewhere in a more melodic section like 01:54:323 - or 02:12:609 - or 05:02:449 - etc, it would appeal to more people? I don't know, this is just a tiiiny suggestion :3

SPOILER
01:17:216 - Is it just me, or is there another sound here? Like, enough to put 1 note?
01:31:466 (91466|0,91751|0,92037|1) - Possibly swap the columns? Just to really contrast the notes at 01:31:466 - against the notes at 01:31:180 -.
I would probably have the repeated columns for these notes 01:35:180 (95180|1,95180|0,95323|3,95323|2) - instead of these notes 01:35:751 (95751|2,95751|3,95894|2,95894|3) -
I'm not really a fan of the repeated notes in column |4| here. I suggest moving 03:02:609 (182609|3) - to column |2|

04:26:735 (266735|0) - to |2|
04:54:521 (294521|2,294592|3,294664|2,294735|3) - Not too sure how I feel about this. Maybe avoid this little trill for this bit?

07:07:878 (427878|1,428020|0) - Maybe swap the columns? Something to avoid having 07:08:020 (428020|0,428163|0) - in the same column. For some reason it just plays really weird.

09:26:014 (566014|1) - to column |1|
09:55:585 (595585|1) - There's something missing here. You've followed the guitar part up until this point.

12:53:783 - Okay okay okay. I have to point this out now. Out of the entire 17 minute map, there's only one thing that I don't like, and that's lack of variation for the dense jumpstreams. This map has at least 8-10 dense jumpstream sections, and all of them are mapped the same way. A song with such variation of sound needs some variation in mapping as well, luckily this problem only arises in the dense jumpstreams, as everything else is a fun journey <3
But yeah, this sort of back-and-forth jumpstream mapping was awesome for the first couple times it appeared. And then it starts to get a little stale. I know it would mean a fir bit of work and experimentation, but I highly recommend messing around with jumpstream variants. It's pretty much my only problem with the map. It may be a little hard with the whole thing being double-single-double-single-double etc, as you only have 4 columns to use. But idk. If this doesn't make sense just ignore it lmao.

13:39:329 - It's a shame you didn't map the saxophone or the xylophone (or glockenspiel, whatever you call it) in this section. I think it could be really interesting to have that extra layer.
14:02:238 - This gives me chills lmao
14:26:237 (866237|0,866328|0) - Oh... uh... yeah maybe not repeat the column here like this. That really threw me off.

17:42:053 (1062053|2) - There's still a faint note here, but up to you whether you want to map it.

Sorry, I thought I'd end up finding more suggestions for you, but there's honestly not many things I'd change. This is an awesome map.
As someone who doesn't listen to metal or any of its variant, receiving a 17 minute technical death metal map was quite daunting. And you know what? I enjoyed every bit of it! This song is such a journey, and so is your mapping, which makes this an absolute delight to play. When the 17 minutes was over, my first thought was "oh it's over so soon?", which is strange, seeing as I had spent the last 17 minutes playing it. But that's the effect it had on me. As I said in my mod, some of the dense jumpstreams were my only problem. You're brave for putting in the effort to get this ranked, as it may be hard to find mods, but this is what mania needs imo. Uniqueness and variation are great!

I'm gonna throw you a star as well. Good luck! ^-^

01:17:216 - Is it just me, or is there another sound here? Like, enough to put 1 note? don't want to create a mini jumptrill 1/8 so i'm gonna stay with only 2 jumps. Still a weird part I guess.
01:31:466 (91466|0,91751|0,92037|1) - Possibly swap the columns? Just to really contrast the notes at 01:31:466 - against the notes at 01:31:180 -.
Yup
I would probably have the repeated columns for these notes 01:35:180 (95180|1,95180|0,95323|3,95323|2) - instead of these notes 01:35:751 (95751|2,95751|3,95894|2,95894|3) - I prefer to jack before the crash cymbal, that create some kind of "punchy" feeling when you play it.
I'm not really a fan of the repeated notes in column |4| here. I suggest moving 03:02:609 (182609|3) - to column |2| You're right

04:26:735 (266735|0) - to |2| Yup
04:54:521 (294521|2,294592|3,294664|2,294735|3) - Not too sure how I feel about this. Maybe avoid this little trill for this bit? Fixed the pattern to something less trilly

07:07:878 (427878|1,428020|0) - Maybe swap the columns? Something to avoid having 07:08:020 (428020|0,428163|0) - in the same column. For some reason it just plays really weird. This one is alright, not really tricky too it and the 1 1 is not a issue imo

09:26:014 (566014|1) - to column |1| Oh right !
09:55:585 (595585|1) - There's something missing here. You've followed the guitar part up until this point. added

It may be a little hard with the whole thing being double-single-double-single-double etc, as you only have 4 columns to use. But idk. If this doesn't make sense just ignore it lmao. I understand, but tbh most of theses JS part sounds exactly the same (or almost) and since i'm mapping the drum sound wich is actually blast (snare (2 notes) kick (1 note)...) thats why it's so repetitive. I'm gonna look if I can change some of them, but it's actually gonna make some inconsistancy if I made them too different so I don't know...

13:39:329 - It's a shame you didn't map the saxophone or the xylophone (or glockenspiel, whatever you call it) in this section. I think it could be really interesting to have that extra layer. This is actually a really cool idee, gonna work on it.
14:02:238 - This gives me chills lmao GOD IS DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED
14:26:237 (866237|0,866328|0) - Oh... uh... yeah maybe not repeat the column here like this. That really threw me off. this moment, this fakin moment. I hate it so much. Gonna remap it again lol.

17:42:053 (1062053|2) - There's still a faint note here, but up to you whether you want to map it. ewww no

I'm gonna throw you a star as well. Good luck! ^-^ Ayy Thanks !

some timing
18:04 XeoStyle: hahaha
18:04 XeoStyle: maybe with the timing, I have like 2 parts in the song that are like really fucked up
18:05 XeoStyle: some kind of prog metal part with weird time signature change
18:05 TheKingHenry: time stamp?
18:06 XeoStyle: 03:55:455 (235455|2,235455|3,235455|0) - all of this section if you want to check
18:07 TheKingHenry: oh god this looks so weird to me
18:07 TheKingHenry: x)
18:07 XeoStyle: from this point to the baby crying
18:07 TheKingHenry: "baby crying"
18:07 TheKingHenry: LOL
18:07 XeoStyle: they are litterally babys crying dude
18:08 XeoStyle: lol
18:09 TheKingHenry: yeah i heard
18:09 TheKingHenry: lol
18:09 TheKingHenry: k so atleast the bpm is 210 stable or smth that makes 210
18:10 XeoStyle: yeah
18:10 TheKingHenry: tbh there are couple of measure that sound more like triplets in the music than 1/2
18:10 TheKingHenry: but it wouldnt necessarily make much sense
18:10 TheKingHenry: to make new bpm just for them
18:13 TheKingHenry: well its pretty chaotic rhythm-wise anyways
18:13 TheKingHenry: but
18:14 TheKingHenry: 257165,285.714285714286,4,2,1,40,1,0
18:14 TheKingHenry: nvm lol
18:14 TheKingHenry: didnt work
18:14 TheKingHenry: but anyways
18:14 TheKingHenry: the timing stamp
18:14 TheKingHenry: in
18:14 XeoStyle: wut
18:14 XeoStyle: lol
18:14 TheKingHenry: 4:17:165
18:14 TheKingHenry: isnt necessary imo
18:14 TheKingHenry: the 4/4 one
18:14 TheKingHenry: that cuts in in the red tick
18:15 TheKingHenry: and end in red too
18:15 TheKingHenry: the music has fine emphasis on the white 1-ticks without it too
18:15 TheKingHenry: like not straight emphasis
18:15 TheKingHenry: but back kick kind of uh
18:15 TheKingHenry: i cant explain it in englihs too well
18:16 TheKingHenry: like the rhythm is changing its emphasis point all the time cuz why not, but it usually comes back to the original spot
18:16 TheKingHenry: anyways thats mostly what i would say
18:16 TheKingHenry: wasnt too much huh
18:17 XeoStyle: I understand
18:17 XeoStyle: but
18:18 XeoStyle: so you mean it's 4/4 from 4:17:022- ?
18:18 TheKingHenry: its from 4:17:165 in mine tho lol
18:18 TheKingHenry: wat
18:19 XeoStyle: yeah I know
18:19 XeoStyle: but you want to move it to
18:19 XeoStyle: 4:17:022 ?
18:19 TheKingHenry: nah
18:19 TheKingHenry: you can just remove it
18:20 TheKingHenry: cuz if you move it there it wont necessarily change anything
18:20 TheKingHenry: the bpm is right
18:20 TheKingHenry: but the 4/4 time stamp doenst fit as well as the 3/4 before it
18:20 TheKingHenry: so imo you can just remove the 4/4 one
18:21 TheKingHenry: also not bad diff name ^^
18:22 XeoStyle: the song speak about god, so yeah lol
18:22 TheKingHenry: yeah
18:27 XeoStyle: yo
18:27 XeoStyle: you actually helped me a lot with this fakin sectip
18:27 XeoStyle: section*
18:27 TheKingHenry: wow
18:27 TheKingHenry: rly?
18:27 XeoStyle: it's like only 4/4 actually haha
18:28 XeoStyle: yeah, much more clean now
18:28 XeoStyle: thanks dude
18:28 TheKingHenry: uh
18:28 TheKingHenry: np i guess
18:28 TheKingHenry: good if i could help ya
18:28 TheKingHenry: :)
18:28 XeoStyle: you can post IRC if you want kudo <:<:
18:28 TheKingHenry: if you think this is kds worth lol
18:28 XeoStyle: gonna be 2 kudos maybe, not sure
