There are polls about the preferred playing styles and hardware of players, but none of them really give out the big picture, the actual environment that players play in. This topic is about everything that you consider part of your gaming environment. Go creative. Basic stuff that you might want to tell about is of course the hardware you use for playing (comp specs, mouse/tablet, etc) and things like the chair and table you play on. Others might have family members or pets to distract/aid them, neighbour boys watching from the window, etc. Photos are allowed and more or less encouraged.

As an example I'll start with a description of my own, not including photos for now.

Computer: Zepto 6224W, 14" widescreen, Intel Core2 Duo 2.0GHz, nvidia GeForce 8600M GT, 3GB ram, 7200rpm hard drive, Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit w/ SP1.

Mouse: Logitech MX518. This one's a dream for osu, can handle higher speeds than I can achieve while spinning unlike other mice I've played with.

Mouse pad: Soft promotional "gaming pad" from Creative. It's double the size of a normal mouse pad, but not optimal for gaming use. Need to get a new one.

Table: It shakes badly while I play, 'nuff said. Considering my options with this one, but not looking good.

Chair: Basic cheap office chair with wheels and no adjustable parts. I really should bother to by a good one soon.

Other factors: Girlfriend takes its toll from gaming. Gladly she's a gamer too and plays most of the games I play, but she also requires time outside gaming (and during gaming, affecting individual scores now and then). And two people just can't play osu at the same time at the same table. And then there is of course IRC. I just need to alt-tab to see if anything is going on whenever there is a break in the game that I'm playing. You can see where this leads to with osu...

Photos: I'll put 'em up later.

TV: ELECTROHOME 23 inch CRT TV (one of those old skool big clunky 20 pound things) with multiple AVI ports to support multiple consoles, no fancy sound systems or anything
PS2 circa 2000, Network Adapter, 2 PS2 controllers, swapmagic bootloader, 2 8MB memory cards
Wii, 2 wii remotes, wheel and zapper, no modifications
PSP with cfw (1.33 or whatever the most popular, most compatible one is) and midrange battery, 2GB and 1GB memory sticks
DS with CycloDS Evolution flash card, 1GB MicroSD card

That's typically what I use to game. But when I feel like some Orange Box or osu! I use my PC:

CPU: 3.00GHz single core
RAM: 3GB
GPU: Radeon x1950 Pro Sapphire
PPU: Nope
OS: XP Pro SP2
Input devices: Standard bundled Dell mouse, standard bundled Dell keyboard (with handy media center controls), Wacom Intuos3 tablet
Audio: 2 standard speakers and a miniature subwoofer

PC:
HP G7000 (laptop), 16" widescreen, Intel Celeron 1.86GHz, no idea what graphics card (The field is blank), 1GB RAM, Hard drive field is also blank (but it's 104GB), Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP1. I have absolutely no clue why the fields are blank, but it appears in every [insert forgotten word here] program.
Epilim EPI Mini Mouse, it's 2cmX1.5cmX4.5cm, making it extremely hard for maps with weird spacing. I also have an OCTIGEN plain boring laser mouse, and a Synaptics-driven touchpad that DOESN'T work with SynAbs.
I have an unbranded Chinese mousemat, it's chunky as hell and has a built in radio, calculator and gell pad, the only thing I'd replace it with would be that epic DokiDoki Majo Shinpan one on J-List.
Laptop sits on top of a big metal sheet, on top of the laptop bag, on top of a tiny table. Big metal sheet is epic, since the laptop stays cool, even for the most demanding programs.
Old office chair which has spent most of it's life with a cat on top of it. Not in much of a rush to get a new one though.
Fifa 02 Thrustmaster USB gamepad. It has loads of buttons, which is perfect for HL2, HaloCE, MUGEN and Touhou.

Console setup:
SAMSUNG 20" Non-Widescreen TV with built in video player, right next to it is my modded Wii (Wiikey), and non-modded Xbox which I only use for DVDs. On top of the TV is the Wii sensor bar and a badass dagger. My DS has an Ultra FlashPass 8G (which is 1GB).
I have Two Wii Remotes, one Wii Wheel, one Nunchuck and two GC controllers, both Turbo, one Macro.
Currently in storage I have a NES, three SNESs, three Gameboys, a GBC, a Playstation, a Sega MegaDrive II (Genesis to all you Americans), a Sega Master System II, a Sega Game Gear Two Atari 2600s, a Binatone Pong system and 5 G&Ws.

Other factors:
Although I don't live with the cat that left it's imprint on the chair, it is now a magnet for my 3 cats. Almost every 5 minutes I get a new Wiimail, text message, or MSN nudge. AVG constantly moans at me for still having AVG7. On XFire people keep messaging me saying stuff like "OMG WTF KINDA GAME IS THT?!".

No Pics until I get the "not shit" camera back.
