I think it would be a good idea to be able to toggle friend status notifications from player to player instead of just toggling all. I like leaving my notifications on so I know if my friends do come online but it is distracting when Tiller is going offline and online every 10 mins and I don't actually care.

I actually agree with this. Often when I want to contact a certain amount of people, everytime you see a message you need to read it. If it only appears for those people, it's much more convenient

While on topic, I'd say have a different sound effect to differentiate if a friend messaged you or not while osu! window is not on top as well. Also maybe a different colored notification box so you can better see if you need to do an "emergency" pause while playing in the case it is a friend.
