  2. 00:46:474 (4,5) - I'll go for just a slider here. The next pattern is hard enough, better prepare for it with just a slider just before.

Ehh, here from #modreqs - this needs a bit of work

[Insane]
  1. HP 7 is way too high, HP 5.5 or HP 6.
  2. OD 8 is too high in my opinion for a song under 4.5 SR, consider OD 7.5.
  3. 00:07:774 (4,1) - This is a rather large jump for no apparent reason in the song. I recommend CTRL-G'ing the slider and curving it to blanket 00:07:174 (2) - this a bit.
  4. 00:18:874 (3) - I don't like how you ignored the "ra" here by making it a slider rather than 3 1/4th notes.
  5. 00:24:574 (4) - This is incorrectly mapped, its actually 1/6th notes and should look this like.
  6. 00:25:174 (5) - ^
  7. 00:29:974 (4,5,6,7) - These are also 1/6ths actually.

    At this point, I'm going to stop modding this because it looks like you have a lot of timing errors in the map itself. Call me back when that stuff is fixed (you can do that via PM or in-game.) Also, as a general note, a lot of the song appears to be 1/6th rather than the 1/8th you've mapped it in, so... you'll probably have to remap every difficulty.

    Another quick example. Around 13 seconds you have a 1/8th stream mapped thats actually a 1/12th stream. It should be this.

  3. 00:25:174 (2,3,4) - The spacing here is most likely the same as here 00:25:024 (1,2) - which can confuse people, try to make it more clear that it's a 1/4 double by moving it closer to the slider.
  4. 00:32:524 (4,5) - This is overmapped since there's no sound at the exactly part. you should make it 1/6 with only to circles like: http://puu.sh/n5CNT/f53656791a.jpg And to make it more clear that it's 1/6, try spacing it closer to the next circle and further from the one before.

  1. 00:32:749 (4) - Delete since it's overmapped (no supporting sound).
  2. 00:32:524 (2) - This should be 1/6 on here 00:32:574 - there's no sound at the 1/4 white line. Remember to make the spacing consistent.

  2. 00:35:074 (5) - NC here? Easier to read like that imo.
  3. 00:35:674 (1,2,3) - There's some beats here you could map too, because i don't think the long slider fits here unless it's a Normal or Easy, but it isn't.
  4. 00:39:874 (3) - Same as the other part like this.
  5. 00:44:874 (1,2) - The only DSed 1/6 circle before a slider in the map, i would stack it on the slider's head to fit with the rest of the song.

Round 2 at your request. Midmod EDIT: I noticed you updated some stuff on the Insane/Another while I was modding them, I apologize if some of my mods don't apply now, but I don't feel like going back to check on them.

  1. 00:08:074 (1) - Fix the blanket around the 2 on the slider end. The easiest way to make a perfect blanket is to position your cursor such a way that you can see the approach circle of the 2 (I used the time 00:08:824 -) and then instead of using one point to adjust the slider (like you are) use two. The second one helps you get a more precise and pretty curve.
  2. 00:10:174 (4) - Reposition to sit kind of between the 1 and 2. I personally liked the coords x132||y316.
  3. 00:10:474 (1) - Blanket this underneath the starting slider end for 00:09:274 (3) - that.
  4. 00:14:674 (3) - I can of like this note better as a circle rather than a slider, purely because it eliminates that awkward rhythm you've created with the slider end. An alternative to this (if you really want to keep the slider) is to soften the slider end.
  5. 00:18:574 (2) - Blanket the end of the underneath that triplet from the previous combo.
  6. 00:28:474 (1,2) - So for these two sliders I like the rhythm they have, but they should probably land ont he snares rather than the blue ticks (the snares are on the red ticks).
  7. 00:35:074 (1,2,3) - Lets talk about this rhythm a bit. So earlier on in this section (which is probably my favorite part of the song because its just so much fun to play) you followed what I believe is the trumpet. This is really blatant here: 00:33:874 (1,2,3,4) -. However, this section is pretty challenging rhythmically because if you map it incorrectly you're missing some important beats - so on an Insane, you need to be consistent with what you follow, the trumpet and the bass, just the bass, or just the trumpet, maybe even the vocals? So if you're following the trumpet here: 00:35:074 (1,2,3) - then there is a trumpet note on the red tick. If you're following the trumpet and the bass then you still need to add that note on the red tick. If you're following the vocals, then its fine as is. (I recommend not changing this actually, but it needs to be addressed as a learning experience mostly.)
  8. 00:42:574 (2) - This slider makes me break a lot. Its kind of a fast jump to get on it then it goes pretty fast in the opposite direction of your jump. I'm typically fine with sliders like these on higher difficulties, but it seems a bit extreme for an Insane.
  9. 00:47:974 (2,3) - Re-position the 2 and 3 with the same DS you were using for these jumps so that the 3 blankets 00:47:074 (1) - that.

    Overall, this diff is tons of fun to play.

  1. Lets talk about inconsistencies in distance spacing on parts of the song that are very similar and should have the same DS. These notes 00:06:874 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - have a DS of 1.9, which is cool. I think its a bit extreme for an opening but its not entirely all that difficult to play... so you could keep it. (I'd still look for better alternatives though.) Anyway, then you go into the sliders which are about 1.8 DS away 00:09:274 (1,2,1,2) - and are also significantly easier to play than your 1,2 notes earlier. That doesn't really sit right with me when they have the same intensity and sound. I really commend reworking this first small section (just up to the preview point).
  2. 00:26:674 (1,2,3,4,5) - Hello, Satan wants his pattern back. As a person who actually plays these kind of starred maps for consistent FC's, it totally cramped up my hand (it could be because I hadn't warmed up yet and this was my first map of the day). I just feel like something better could go here. I'd also like to point out that the 3 may be better than the slider, because the 4 is actually being placed on a "shh" which is kind of weird to me, personally.
  3. 00:31:774 (2) - Blanket that 3 from the previous combo, or offset it a bit more. You've been mostly offsetting your potential blankets in this diff, which I like, so maybe continue that here instead of a blanket.
  4. 00:41:224 - You should really put a note here, the trumpet is strong.

  6. 00:42:574 (2) - You have the same issue with this slider as you did in the previous diff. you're going perpendicular with your flow, and in the opposite direction, and because of the SV it just causes a lot of annoying slider breaks. I don't think this is meant to be so difficult, and tbh I'd just CTRL+G that next slider.
  7. 00:47:674 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - Hello Satan v2. This is like an unnecessarily hard Kneesocks ending, with a bit less thought put into it. So lets break this down a bit. From 00:47:674 (1) - here to 00:48:124 (2) - here shes saying a certain type of araragi. Then from 00:48:274 (1) - here to 00:48:724 (2) - here shes saying another type of araragi. Same for 00:48:874 (1) - here to 00:49:324 (2) - here. So, my current issue I have with this jump set is that the distance spacing in the actual "araragis" are different, which shouldn't be the case (in my opinion). What I think you should do is keep these: 00:47:674 (1,2,1,2) - and then change everything after. Make sure to keep the DS for each "aragi" the same and try to keep them similar-ish to have a bit of pattern going.

  1. 00:09:874 (3) - Make another triangle with this one, the current pattern here doesn't make much sense.
  2. 00:10:474 (1,2) - Theres no reason to have these two sliders here when you've been doing the 1,2 jump then 3 slider pattern. Keep your patterns consistent, especially when they only repeat 4 times.
  3. 00:16:474 (1,2,3) - So quite a few popular mappers do this, where they change their distance spacing in a series of almost linear jumps. I'm not a huge fan of it and I'd advise changing it, but clearly its rankable so thats up to you.
  4. 00:17:074 (1,2,3,4,5) - Satanic jump pattern v3. This pattern really doesn't make much sense. You have a vertical jump followed by a sharp angle that takes you to two horizontal jumps. Its not very fun for the user to play and I'd advise reworking them.
  5. 00:17:824 (1,2,3,4,1,2,1,2) - Everyone needs a compliment every once in a while, and I absolutely love these jumps and how they fit with the music, good job here.
  6. 00:20:974 (4) - Go ahead and blanket this underneath the the slider head of 00:20:074 (4) - .
  7. 00:21:274 (1,2,3) - I'd like if these were spaced the same as the previous time she says the word (idunknowjapanese).
  8. 00:21:874 (1,2,3,4,5) - These aren't as bad as Satanic jump pattern v3, but they are a bit annoying to play, I'd call it Lil' Lucifer pattern v1. Also, you don't NEED to change it, but I still think you can do something better here.

  11. Now as a quick note, this is becoming important to me (consistency) in an Extra diff because a lot of playing Extras and higher comes from pattern reading. Sure, non-consistent Extras are rankable and have even been ranked in the past two weeks, but as a mapper you should be pushing for something above the bare-minimum (at least in my opinion).

  2. 00:26:074 (1) - First, delete the new combo, it belongs to the previous combo. It will be more consistent that way.
  3. 00:26:074 (1) - Second, I do not like the emplacement of this slider, it is somehow stacking the half of one of the previous circles and it looks so weird because your spacing is usually looking fine. I would suggest you to completely stack this slider with 00:23:674 (1) - to prevent the half-stacked objects. Make sure to keep the spacing consistent after.
  4. 00:27:274 (2,3) - This blanket can be done better, it's minor, but it's worth fixing.
  5. 00:28:474 (6) - Again, to make sure the combo is consistent, I suggest you to add a new combo to follow your previous combos which started at "Araragi-san~" and naturally, delete this one combo 00:31:474 (1) - .

The Approach Rate is too HIGH for a normal difficulty. Let's downgrade it a bit to 4.5

Found nothing wrong in here, the combos are okay, the hitsounds are okay, the spacing is reasonable even though it looks too spaced for a normal difficulty. The only thing I can say is that I feel unconfortable over this difficulty because it looks too hard to be a normal. Maybe that's how the mapping is nowadays?!

  3. 00:26:074 (1) - Second, I do not like the emplacement of this slider, it is somehow stacking the half of one of the previous circles and it looks so weird because your spacing is usually looking fine. I would suggest you to completely stack this slider with 00:23:674 (1) - to prevent the half-stacked objects. Make sure to keep the spacing consistent after. ok
  4. 00:27:274 (2,3) - This blanket can be done better, it's minor, but it's worth fixing. ok

The Approach Rate is too HIGH for a normal difficulty. Let's downgrade it a bit to 4.5

Found nothing wrong in here, the combos are okay, the hitsounds are okay, the spacing is reasonable even though it looks too spaced for a normal difficulty. The only thing I can say is that I feel unconfortable over this difficulty because it looks too hard to be a normal. Maybe that's how the mapping is nowadays?! ok lol

00:38:074 (1) - I don't think it is good to have notes even partially out of screen on diffs under 2,5-3*, new players wouldn't know what to do there.
It is not recommended to use combos >4 in easy/normal diffs, try to fix that too.
Normal diff:
00:31:474 (2) - Again it is partially out of screen, but here not that badly.
I don't like the stacking of notes in this difficulty, it will be hard to aim for new players.
And yet again the combos >4 are not recommended.
Hard diff:
Nothing really wrong found here, I think this diff is done.
Insane diff:
00:50:974 (2,1) - I think this jump is unexpectively long, one way to solve is to longer distance between 00:50:674 (1,2) - , or just lower the spacing between these two.
This one is not a style of mapping I like, but it is ok ranking-wise.
Another diff:
Again not my style of mapping, but nothing bad to point out here.
Expert diff:

  1. Выстави слайдер тикрейт на 1. Ритм-то в основном очень простой на сложности, двойка слишком часто тикает.

  3. 00:15:874 (3) - вот тут репит слайдера не привязан к чему-либо в музыке. Убери повтор и поставь серкл на 00:15:874 (3) - для более интуитивного маппинга под "вокал".
  4. 00:20:074 - 00:20:674 - вот тут я бы просто ставил серклы подряд. Вокалы на красных тиках начинаются и мапать их на изи очень неудобно, лучше на ударных сакцентироваться.
  5. 00:24:874 (3) - опять нет синхрона. Начинается под одно, кончается уже под другое. Попробуй опять же акцентироваться на ударных. Как-то так
  6. 00:29:074 - вот тут и надо было закончить слайдер, а на 00:29:674 - уже другая часть трека, которая требует собственный кликабельный объект. Туда можно кружок поставить.
  7. 00:38:074 (1,2) - вот тут она сначала произносит два варианта Арараги-сан, а потом начинает что-то другое, а по ритму все смешивается в одну кашу. Я попробовал бы по вокалам тут замапать как-то так.
  8. 00:43:474 - закончи слайдер тут, вокалы и ударный очень просят. 00:44:074 - а вот сюда можно потом кружок поставить.

    Было бы круто, если бы у тебя получалось чуть аккуратнее следовать основным вокалам/битам. Понимаю, что это бывает достаточно непросто, но это важно.

  1. 00:08:674 - старайся делать тяжелые и сильные биты кликабельными для игроков. Если они смогут их нажать, то ощущение будет намного лучше, чем от простого дропа слайдера.
  2. 00:11:674 (1,2) - давай по вокалу замапаем? Два слайдера тут прозвучат намного логичнее, т.к. совпадают с вокалами.
    Note: 00:15:274 (4,5) - вот тут аналогично с примером выше. Первый пойдет под "саан", а второй под инструмент на фоне.

    Мне не нравится твой выбор спейсинга. х1.5 означает, что расстояние между нотиами вполтора раза больше скорости слайдеров, из-за этого курсор постоянно то ускоряется, то замедляется. Играть можно, но для такого трека как-то слишком рвано и резко. Может снизить до х1.2?

Попробуй не отходить от основных вокалов и битов, они достаточно сложные для маппинга адвансда. Ну, как-то так, например.
  3. 00:16:474 (1,2) - в музыке нет ничего, что бы поддерживало такие углы слайдеров. Зачем ломать флоу и неестественным образом сокращать слайдеры?

  4. 00:20:074 - вместо второго репита, который, кстати, трудновато прочитать, лучше поставить слайдер. Страшный пример

  6. 00:39:574 (2) - удлини в два раза и убери повтор. На 00:39:674 - нет ничего такого, что бы требовало бита в карте.
  7. 00:42:574 (1) - давай серкл по вокалу сюда впишем. Неплохо зазвучит.

  3. 00:26:824 (4) - раньше так же стакался 1/6, лучше здесь анстакнуть, для понятности ритма.

    Я бы потестил спейсинг и джампы, но у меня скилла маловато для теста таких вещей. Погоняй самостоятельно, спроси пару друзей. Если играется - супер!
Вполне неплохо, дифы попроще требует внимания, но остальное выглядит очень неплохо.
