As the guildlines say that there needs to be at least 2 difficulties of the song.
But how do i make another difficulty for the song?
Does that mean i have to make a new map to the same song and upload it as less stars ?
I still dont get how to get 2 difficults =/
ive read other forums but i dont understand it...

Also how do i cut off a song that is too long?
because the beatmap im working on is too long so i want to cut it down.

Help TT_TT

Go to 'File' at the top left of the editor. Select "save as new difficulty", and change the difficulty name to something else (in the box that pops up). Then, you can go to edit->select all (or just hit ctrl-A in the editor), press the delete key on your keyboard, and start your new difficulty.

What do you mean by the saying the "beatmap ... is too long"?

If you are saying the song is too long, you can cut the song in audacity.
If the song ends just a few seconds after where you want your beatmap to end, just don't map the extra few seconds.

Like yoshi said, if there's only a small amount of time left after your map, then you don't need to worry. However, if you're only mapping say.. 2/3rds or 3/4ths of your song, then you may need to get the mp3 cut. However, it would be better for someone more experienced with cutting mp3s to do it for you (if that's the case).

Oh no.. ):
ive already made the song with the full version
am i able to save the beatmap but replace the song with a different one?
If i can could u tell me how?
Derekku
You can replace your current mp3 with one that has the exact same filename, but the offsets of the two mp3s will most likely be different. Also, if you currently have the song open in the editor when you change the mp3s, you'll need to exit the editor, select a different song, and then go back to your song to make sure the editor realizes that you're using a different mp3.

but HOW?
do i replace it? ^^;;
Derekku
Yes, just open the song's folder from File->Open Song Folder in the editor and replace the old mp3 with the new one.
