I think this would be a useful feature because we don't need to re-download the whole build again and maybe make it closer to just updating. +Faster switching between builds.

But I don't know much about how the update system works anyway. So if it's impossible, then okay.

This is why I'm on stable (fallback) forever
Editor only works properly there, but if I want to play a bit, then it needs to redl, so I prefer playing in stable (fallback) then, despite missing functions

I think I told peppy something like this at one point, or at least questioned somewhere why there are no downloads for older builds. I don't remem the answer nor I remem where the post is (RIP if it was on slack).

I suggest just renaming "osu!.exe" to "osu! CE.exe", "osu! Beta.exe", etc to preserve the builds for now.
