Heyo!
I really like jump maps and was wondering if anyone had good suggestions.
Around 4-5 star difficulty pls (well I'll take anything harder to though)

Maps like Cold green eyes - divine or Stella-rium or Tristam - Once again - Insane

thx

But you're a bit low ranked to be playing 5* maps

This is a bit easier but it has a few jumps.

What is up with people trying to play stuff that's truly out of their league lately? Or maybe I'm only now just noticing it.

Start there. No I don't give a fuck about giving Koigokoro, but those two are brilliant for learning how to jump.

just dl a lot of maps, filter by difficulty.

look at objects/min (you have to use your phone or do the hard division math in your head)
low objects/min = low chance of streams, high chance of easy to click stuff (maps without streams usually have <300 objects/min, the less the more it is all about easy to tap jumps for star rating)
high objects/min = higher change of things that are hard to click (stream maps are usually around 300+ objects/min, depending on bpm and intensity)

i wish you could enter some logic to the map search, and have objects as a variable, too

something like objects/min>bpm*X could be used to find streamy maps easily, having and, or would be nice too

No, this doesn't work this way.

Playing maps out of your skill range will make you worse player.
Playing stuff what you cannot read and aim will make you randomly mash buttons, slowly remove your ability to acc properly, not mention giving you bad muscle memory which will later on cause you to not being able to fc anything at all.
Rethink your action, use forum search engine and you will know how to progress.
Everyone was playing this "boring" easier maps but they slowly build up your ground for harder maps.

Not sure how often this is posted or well known, but I found this a while back that may be of use. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zhICw3sDaXFy8nOw8z1BrHia1eHnJ82PB3MhgzxmrSk/edit#gid=0

You can't really mash buttons with a jump map, especially since I'm tapping with my tablet pen (yes you can critisize me).
I don't think I'm horrible and I don't mind taking my time to rank up. Having fun is more important then becomming good (for me anyways)
I'll get somewhere one day, even if it takes me forever

The problem is that you might not get anywhere if you continue practicing like this. But if your priority is fun, and not improvement, then who are we to stop you?

But do be aware it might be damaging to your skill progression to continue playing maps way out of your league.

I used to play these jump training sets all the time. Still play the hardest ones.

I don't mean not to play hard stuff; that's a very good way to improve PROVIDED you can understand what you're playing. Playing above your level on a song that is that little bit above you is a great challenge.

However, you're trying to play songs that are truly beyond you at this point. Slow down and learn the basics while progressively increasing the difficulty.

If that sounds boring, don't make it be that way. Playing what you like to hear is a great way to learn basics while not getting bored.

If you want maps, add me or anyone here who's willing to np maps to you in game. Take it easy, improvement doesn't come simply in this game.
